Days have passed since we first came to Diggory's house, and he has fashioned me a bandage to wear over my mark.

"Come on Evangeline!" Edmund calls up to me.

I jump onto the bannister and slide down to where he is standing.

"Don't do that your highness!" Polly scolds me.

Edmund gives me a weird look, but I just shrug my shoulders.

"Everyone is in the dining room, we should hurry and get there before the Professer does." He says.

I nod and follow him.

"Why do you think Evangeline won't talk Susan, you're the smart one." I hear Peter say.

Edmund stares wide eyed at me.

I hold a finger to my lips and press my ear to the door, Edmund follows suit.

All I hear is an awkward silence on the other end of the door.

"Maybe Evangeline is just shy Peter, but she's great fun." Little Lucy says.

My heart swells with admiration for the youngest Pevensie.

"It is still odd don't you think?" Peter asks.

"It is not our place to judge Peter." Susan says.

I step back from the door, wait for Edmund to do the same, and then take deep breath and open it.

Their conversation instantly mutes itself, and they all look at me.

"Evangeline sit next to me!" Lucy says excitedly, breaking the silence.

I slide into the chair next to her and smile.

"Dinner is served!" Polly says, coming in with six plates balanced precariously on her arms.

Once we have our plates infront of us, the roast beef steaming, we wait for the Professer.

Diggory walks in and looks at us.

"Sorry I'm late children, must of lost track of time." He says, sitting down.

We all dig in.

After dinner, which was delicious, we retire to our rooms.

Peter and Edmund share a room, and Susan and Lucy share a room, but my room is down another hallway.

After a while, as I am changing into a nightgown, a soft knock comes from the door.

I walk over to it and pull it open, outside of my door stands Lucy, with tears in her eyes.

I open my door wider and gently pick her up.

She cries into my shoulder.

"Oh Evangeline, I had the most horrible nightmare!" She says.

I put her in the armchair by the fire and wrap her in a blanket.

"Tell." I whisper to her.

"There was a woman, with pale skin and white hair, she was so mean. She killed a lion, he was a nice lion, I know he was, but she killed him." She sobs.

My blood turns cold.

She couldn't be talking about my father could she?

I hummed an old narnian lulaby to her, and by the end she was asleep.

I picked her up and walked her back to her and Susan's room.

I opened the door with my elbow and laid Lucy down on her bed.

Susan was asleep on her own bed across the room, and I kissed Lucy's brow before leaving.

Crawling into my own bed, I thought about Lucy's nightmare and shivered.

Please let it be just some random lion, not my father.
