A damp blood-coloured leaf fluttered past Alice, brushing just slightly
against her raven waves. She stood in the sweet meadow, rare to the
screeching city, her piercing eyes shut tightly. Alice sighed, relaxing just
a little as she tilted her head back against the rough bark of the tree.
Calming. Her pale, slender arm fell to her side softly, resting in the plush
green grass.
Alice reluctantly opened her eyes, blinking blearily as the warm sunlight
streamed through the dense foliage. Adorable little birds tweeted gladly in
the trees, rumbling their pretty feathers. Another comforting breeze rustled
through the meadow and Alice smiled.
For the past few days, Alice had not met Serenity, and that girl had also
not interfered with her mind. It was, literally, peaceful for once. How rare
an occurrence. Alice's pointed tongue darted out to wet her full bottom lip.
What a nice feeling... Although it was already clear that it would not last
for long.
Alice yawned, standing to leave when she saw him. Serenity, again. Ah, what
a pain.
"Alice," Serenity frowned, his fists clenching and unclenching as he fought
to press down the rising anger.
Alice smiled, albeit a little reluctantly, "Hello, Seren."
"What are you doing here, flea?" Serenity crossed his arms, as his too-long
bangs fell in to his amber eyes.
Alice shrugged, "Looking for a place to relax, I guess."
Serenity glared suspiciously at Alice, before stepping past her.
"Hurry up and go away."
Alice laughed, "Yes, yes, Master."
"Don't call me that," Serenity muttered, walking forward in to the meadow.
"Alice?"
Alice gritted her teeth, wincing as a sharp pain rocketed through her slim
frame. That girl was back.
"Go away," Alice whispered, struggling to move away from the meadow where
Serenity stood.
A innocent giggle replied her, echoing through her mind. Damn it, Alice
thought.
Ah, the familiar timorous feeling was back.
