"Mmf..."
Alice popped up from her comfortable position, her bedhead wild as she
rubbed sleepily at her eyes. What happened? Alice frowned as she counted the
chain of events off her fingers.
First, that girl had taken over her body at the meadow, and had regained
control of it for three weeks. Secondly, she had told Rillianne Redbird,
Serenity's little sister that her crush, Gilbert had gotten hurt. Thirdly,
Seren... Seren had come to her house...
Alice whipped around wildly, searching for him. She let out a sigh of relief
when she saw his pliant body leaning against the cracked wall.
Looking around, Alice nearly laughed at the tell-tale signs of destruction.
Her door was in a pile of rubble on the floor. Her wall had a crater in
it... um, probably where she hit her head. Alice winced, reaching for the
sore spot at the back of her skull. Her sofa lay overturned as well.
Alice crawled her way back to Serenity, shuffling slightly so as not to wake
him. Seeing such a normal Serenity was... a new experience for her. She
reached out hesitantly, allowing the tips of her fingers to graze his rosy
cheeks just barely. He stirred, and she stiffened. When she didn't awake,
Alice drew just a little closer, and let her slender hand caress his face.
"What are you doing?
Alice squeaked, her face flushing as she jumped away.
Serenity's hard amber eyes softened with a hint of amusement.
"You're awake," Alice pulled an emotionless mask over her face.
Serenity scowled, his expression hardening once again.
