"Alice Nightray!" Serenity roared.
Alice rubbed blearily at her amber eyes, yawning. Serenity stood in the
doorway, the unhinged door covered in ash and debris on the floor. Blood
trailed down his clenched fist like smeared ribbons.
Alice cocked her head to a side, sliding her long legs easily off the sofa.
Looks like fun had arrived for her. She smirked.
"You freaking rabbit, what the hell did you do to my sister? Tell me right
now," Serenity seethed.
Alice giggled, "Mm, nothing much?"
She stood up, fingering her crimson undershirt in fascination.
"Gilbert just got hurt, you know? And Rillianne thinks it was the
Iridiscents who did it?" Alice licked her lips, "Or more specifically me?"
Within the next second, Serenity had Alice up against the wall. Her shirt
had ripped in his grip but he refused to let go of the shreds. Alice grinned
happily at him, delighted at his anger.
"Well, you monster, you can continue beating up this body. It isn't mine,
anyway!" Alice laughed.
Serenity's fury clouded all thoughts and he never thought about the
implication of those words. He should have.
He snarled, "You're despicable!"
Alice laughed, "Ah, isn't that a rude thing to say to a girl? Manners,
Serenity!"
A growl rumbled in his chest and he raised a hand to punch Alice.
"Don't you dare ever touch Rillianne, or her friends anymore! If I see any
of your filthy gang Iridiscents around any of them, I'll kill you!"
Serenity's hand trembled.
Alice sniggered, "I'll think-"
Then her eyes widened, as if they were waking up from a nightmare. They were
glowing orbs of old blood, filled with fear.
"No... No! Shut up! I control this body now!" Alice shrieked, looking
somewhere, unfocused.
Serenity frowned, "What the crap are you saying? Are you mad?"
Tears streamed down Alice's face, two minds fighting for dominance. Serenity
released Alice, and she collapsed to the floor, her hands cupped over her
ears.
A fierce look etched itself in to her face, as she backed up against the
wall, her bare feet scraping against through floor.
"Alice?" Serenity stared at her wildly, confused.
What was going on? This had happened before... It had happened really,
really recently. That's right. At the meadow! Something was wrong. Something
was wrong with Alice Nightray.
Serenity grabbed at Alice's wrists, pinning them away from her bucking body.
"Wake up! Alice Nightray!" Serenity yelled. "Wake up!"
Suddenly, Alice calmed down. Her terrified eyes refocused on Serenity's
blurry form. She gasped for breath, shuddering.
"Alice can't... t-take it anymore. Alice doesn't want to do anymore bad
things anymore. Alice... Alice..." Alice pleaded. She wailed, "Alice wants
Eida!"
Serenity stared, utterly shocked. Just what had happened to this girl?
