"Well I knew her for a while. And I liked her. But she didn't seem to like me back. She was quiet and always seemed happy." My dad said. I've heard this story time and time again, but I love to hear it,"And I wasn't good at expressing my feelings. I was also afraid of what everyone would think of me. So instead of being me, I'd bully her a bit. I felt so bad." Who knew my dad was a bully? It never seemed like him," One night after I felt guilty I had decided to take a long walk so I left the house while your grandparents were sleeps. I looked around as I walked but she seemed to come out of no where. And I said,'Hey! Watch out' followed with,'You look terrible. Oh my gosh! Jayla what happened?' She didn't believe I was serious and said,'Why do you even care? You hate me! You say it all the time!' I insisted 'Just tell me...' Then she started to cry,'No. I won't tell you. I can't tell you.' I wasn't gonna let her not answer,'But your face is all busted up. What happened Jayla?' She started screaming,'I WON'T TELL YOU! YOU HATE ME! YOU FUCKING MAKE MY LIFE WORSE THAN WHAT IT TRULY IS!!! SO JUST STOP ASKING!' I said,'But I do care.' And then she asked,'Then why do you bully me?!'
'I don't know how to express my feelings. And hey you should go home. Let me take you.' I answered.  Then she said,'No! I can't go home.' I asked,'Why?' She refused. so I asked,'Wait... Did your dad do this?' And then she ran off. I felt so bad. Eventually she went through a lot of shit and got taken away from her dad because of abuse, and then got adopted and she was coming to my school again. The same stuff happened and eventually she graduated. But I wasn't going to let her get away. I found her, but when I found her I was too late. She was engaged. On her wedding day I found her at the park on a swing in her dress. And we just have been together since then."

"Wait... You mean to tell me grandpa abused mom?" I asked.

"Yah, I was the reason she was taken away from her dad."

My mind was blown. I had never caught that part of he story.
