Attention all haters. This is my first book. Yes it will be slightly crappy, but you can deal with it. Thank you 🙄👌🏻

Run! I hear footsteps and cracking branches behind me. They're close! I pump my legs faster. The damp forest air threatens to choke me. I hear the safety click off one of their guns and I dive to the left as a bullet splits the air next to me with an earsplitting boom!
I stand up, brushing the dirt and blood off my knees and run hard. They want me dead. It's simple but complicated. My pack is dead and the firestone's pack numbers are growing. The Firestone pack, is the fiercest pack of them all. They train their wolves to throw knives, shoot, track and hunt with stealth, grace, and strength. I cannot be caught. I committed a crime so heinous, If I am caught I will be taken before the Firestone alpha... My alpha, and put to death.

I will never go back there. Because they died, all of them. My pack is gone, my mother and my beautiful sister were killed because of me. I thought I could run away, make a new life for myself, join a new pack. But alpha jones is relentless, and he didn't like it when his best tracker went missing. I keep running hard. Firestone has a policy, you can never leave the pack. Your in it for life and leaving is punishable by death. Firestone taught me many things. One of them was to keep your eyes open, look for all possible escape routes before you fight. Grief is about to swallow me. My lungs burn and my stomach cramps. I have been running for almost 12 miles at a sprint and my feet feel like they are never going to work properly again, but at least I'm gaining some distance on them. I run in big zagging patterns, I know it slows me down but I'm not going to be and easy target for their knives or guns. Most of them are amazing shots and I won't make it easy for them. I feel a sharp tip cut into my ankle.
Idiot! I remember the dagger I always keep in my boot and yank it out. I turn around and start running backwards. I aim for the man with the pistol and launch my dagger at him. Dread fills me when the smooth metal flys out of my hand. that was my only weapon. But at least I got him in the shoulder. He won't be able to lift the gun until he gets it out, which gives me just enough time too- I trip over something heavy. What the? It's a body. One I recognize. "Cassy? Cassy get up!" I scream. But she can't hear me. They're getting closer. My step sister was stabbed with a silver knife. They stabbed her. Her eyes are closed and her hands are covered in blood. How could they? She was innocent!! She was only 8! I start to sob. The trackers are getting closer, I don't even care. I welcome death. I remember when we used to bake cookies together and have dance offs. We would have tea parties and everyday after school she would run up to me and give me a hug. She said I was the best sister ever. She was so wrong. I'm the reason she's dead.
"L-Luna." I hear a faint whisper. She's alive! "CASSY? Cassy baby I'm so sorry! Cassy stay with me! Does it hurt?"
"It doesn't hurt silly." Tears blur my vision.
"Cassy please!"
"Luna! Your the best sister ever. I love you." Her eyes start to close.
"CASSY WAKE UP!" I scream.
"Im so cold."
"Cassy! Please Cassy please! Please please please please! I love you! Don't go! Don't leave me!" I'm sobbing now.
"Don't cry sis' I love you too." She is so quite now I can barley hear her. Her chest rises and falls slightly before becoming still. The trackers are close now. A bullet explodes from a gun and passes by my head.
The only thing you can do for her now is live! That's what she would want you to do! Keep running!
"I love you too Cassy."
I pick her up and run as fast as I can. Never once looking back. I can still hear them following me, but adrenaline takes over and I run faster than I ever have, leaving them In the dust. Tears streaming down my face, I make one last promise to my sister. I will find out who killed you, and I'll destroy them.

I climb up the tree with the quickness of a squirrel. I finally lost the men chasing me. They were the trackers of the Firestone pack. The ones that declared war on my pack and killed my entire family, and it was all my fault. I hear a ferocious howl pierce the evening quiet. They will never give up. Tears stream down my cheeks and I grip the rough bark of the tree to keep me upright. I climb until I find a branch thick enough to support me and lay there for a while. The cool evening breeze blows my hair into my face and makes me shiver. I only have a pair of ripped up jeans and a tank top on, not the best camping gear. I climb down and shift. My bones crack and my joints pop. Fur covers every inch of my body and where the 5'6 girl with brown hair and green eyes was standing, now stood a vibrant looking white wolf who seemed to radiate power. Her paws treading over the freshly dug dirt and the small Lilly laying on top.

Carrying my clothes in my mouth. The soft fabric doesn't smell too fresh, but I haven't found a stream yet, or food. As if to prove my point my stomach rumbles loud enough to be audible and I cringe. Looking around to see if anyone heard me, I take off. I sniff the air and recognize a scent. Rabbits. Now I have to be slow about this, I need for them to be completely unaware of my presence before I get my dinner. So I lay in wait. When they move I crawl, when they stay I stay. I stick to the shadows and try to ignore the cold biting at my fur and the hunger eating away at my sanity. Finally, one of the rabbits hops up to find some water, leaving the 2 others behind. I follow it slowly creeping under bushes and through trees until I finally spot it by a clear pool of water. I wait a second, then launch myself at my prey. I'm no less than a foot away when it notices me and tries to run, but I grab it by the neck and give it a good shake.

After my meal I wander off to find a den and sleep for the night. After that, I will find the ones who took my family, and I will kill them all.

Flash back
"I smell cookies!" I grin as I take the stairs three at a time, the smell of chocolate chips filling me with joy.
"Luna!" Cassy squeals.
"I drew you a picture!"
She waves a piece of paper in my face and I snatch it out of her hands it's a scribble of something that might pass for me. I laugh and run to show mom.
"Look what Cassy drew me!"
She pulls it out of my hand and laughs at the sight.
"Looks like we have an artist in the family!"
"Is it really good?" Cassy asks, suddenly uncertain.
"It looks just like me! Pinky swear." She grabs my pinky with the serious pouty face that only a 8 year old could pull off and then starts laughing. Her laugh is magical. It can make the saddest person start smiling. I grab her around the waist and start spinning her around the room. We both collapse onto the floor giggling and wrestling.
"If you don't stop wrestling you get no cookies!" Mom threatens. But we can see her trying to hide her smile. I run up to her and give her a hug.
"Your the best mom ever!"
"Your just saying that because you want cookies!" She swats at me.
"Maybe!" I giggle.
She grabs two chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven and hands them to me. i eat both of them in two seconds flat. Like seriously there should be a record for how many cookies eaten in three seconds so I could beat it. She laughs and kisses the top of my head.
"We should do this more often" mom says.
I look over to check on Cassy and she has fallen asleep. I really can't blame her. It's 10:00 and she's had a long day. I sit beside her and pull the blanket over both of us and drift off to sleep. That was the last peaceful moment I had with my sister.
