It's up ahead! I run as hard as I can, my fur covered in white snow flakes. My claws dig into the wet dirt and the snow is up to my shoulders. I reach the castle with a leap, and jump through the open window, right in front of three vampires. They stare at me with disgust, but don't make any move to attack. My disguise must be working. I walk past them into the hall and come face to face with a jet black fur. Like Daniel looks grey next to him.
He stares at me with his red eyes and doesn't move. I feel like my brain exploded. One word ran repeatedly through my head but I couldn't understand it. I slowly walk toward him. He doesn't move, he can't, but he looks at me wide eyes. I'm right next to him now. I look around and don't see anyone coming, so I dip my head until the necklace falls to the floor and my mark is visible again. I didn't think his eyes could get any wider, but it happened. He looks at me with a question in his eyes, and I respond by touching my forehead to his. I can't even explain to you how that felt. Every muscle in my body tensed. And then I could... See it. A icy blue ball of light, energy. It was beautiful, it was him. And it was surrounded by a blood red wall. I searched for cracks, holes anything. I started pushing the wall, shoving it, doing anything to break it. Finally, cracks started forming on the wall. I gave it one final shove and it collapsed, sending me crashing back into my body. And falling to the floor. I lay there for a moment, breathing hard.
"Oh those filthy mutts won't know what hit them."
Voices, coming this way.
I nudge the necklace back on and sit next to the wolf with my back straight and my eyes straight ahead. He didn't move, but his eyes were closed.
The vampire walk past us without a second glance and I relaxed, until the wolf opened his eyes and I was on edge again.

His eyes, icy blue were cold calculating and angry

His eyes, icy blue were cold calculating and angry. He shook the silver collar off and spoke.

What's your plan?

A shiver went down my spine at the sound of his voice in my head and I thanked the gods I didn't stutter when I replied,

Save as many weres as possible and then get them out before the vampires know what happened. I will take them to my pack to eat and rest, and then we will go after the vampires together.

He nods and I take the lead as walk through the endless hallways. Every time I saw a wolf I would stop and heal them, and every time it would leave me more exhausted than the last. I had ended up healing 12 wolves. I was proud of myself, but where was Madison?
The wolves had all left the castle, but we're waiting for me outside the border. A pack of wolves was easy to spot, and I had to be careful about this. The only one who stayed was the black wolf with the blue eyes. I would ask his name but nows not the time to be playing the get to know you game.
"HEY!"
Someone screamed, and without even looking back, we started running.
