More rough ocean. Ethan's turn to be sick. I rub his back as he lays across my lap.
Transfer, cheap supper.
Bus, movies, more supper.
I get Ethan pineapple.
3 a.m. "Khao San Road!"
This isn't it.
Grab our bags.
"300 baht to hotel."
Bull.
"I lived in Bangkok," I refute.
He pesters others.
Our final taxi meter: 76 baht.

Now, it seems a bit ridiculous to be so stubborn over about six dollars difference, but when you're there something gets in your head about 'fair' price and not getting 'fleeced' (take advantage of).
If you don't hear from me for a week or so, I'll be off hiking in Tasmanian wilderness, but I have some drabbles ready to go for when I get back. Thanks for reading.
