"Now, let's go over what you told me again," Dr. Britton said, pushing her wavy golden hair behind her ear as she spoke. She'd been writing on her notepad loudly, each long stroke of the pen adding more the increasing headache that was throbbing behind my eyes.

"My life changed alot after Kakeru tried to kill me," I repeated, staring up at the ceiling.

"The first vampire to ever be documented in history, that's a pretty great discovery, Zoey," the doctor said, putting down her notepad. She leaned forward in her seat, "Look, I'm not going to beat around the bush. I know what you went through was extremely difficult, and maybe even mentally shattering, but you're recovering. Each session you've been to has been a step forward, pretty soon, you won't even need me."

"That's good news," I said, sitting up in the lounge chair. It was just like they showed in all of the tv shows and movies. Her office looked like a small library, complete with a desk and a brown leather couch that her patients (myself included) laid out on and stared at the ceiling while they talked about their dirty secrets.

My secrets? Not so dirty.

I had been through a vampire attack because I was the White Witch, destined to become the ruler of the immortal world.

Apparently, the thought of having a young, mortal girl in charge of you wasn't too appealing to some of the immortals. The vampires especially.

They sent one of their greatest warriors, Kakeru, after me, and she almost killed me. Almost.

"It is good news, so we'll meet again, same time next week?" Dr. Britton asked, standing up from her chair.

I stood up from the lounge-chair and shook her hand, nodding, "As always."

I walked out of the therapist's office feeling..the same as I did when I entered.

My boyfriend (and werewolf) Max was sitting in the lobby, flipping through a magazine that read: Angelina Jolie adopts another kid?

"Ready to go?" He asked, smiling at me.

"Icecream!" I yelled, frightening some of the people sitting in the lobby.

Max chuckled and held his hand out, which I took and we walked out of the building together, and towards icecream.

I love icecream.
