Forbidden Love

Chapter 10

We arrived at Carlies ten minutes later. She opened the door as soon as we ring the doorbell. She greets us with a smile and a hug. She also kisses me softly.

We follow her into the living room. Megan introduces herself. She gives me a look over similar to what Mike did to Carlie at the club. She eyes Carlie. I suddenly want to hide behind Angela for protection.

“Megan! Go easy on her,” Carlie says seeing me shrink away.

“Carlie you worry too much babe. She’s adorable. Just like you said,” Megan says hugging me.

I let out a sigh of relief.

“I had you scared didn’t I Rae?”Megan asks with a laugh.

I smile. I’m not sure how to take her. I wasn’t sure what to do with Angela when I first met her. I figured I’d grow to like this woman.

Carlie asks who wants a beer and we all do. I follow her into the kitchen. I take the beer she hands me and fight the urge to chug it. She senses this and hands me another one.

She laughs at me as I drink my first beer quickly and grab the second one.

“Why didn’t you warn me she might frazzle me like that?” I ask.

“Rae I told you she’s just like Angela. I figured you’d assume. Don’t worry she’s just fucking with you. She’s been going on about meeting you basically since the night I met you. She’s a little protective of me because I’ve been burned. If she’s screwing with you like she was tonight she has already accepted you. Don’t worry,” Carlie tells me kissing me.

I toss out my empty beer bottle and grab my new one off the counter. We go back to the living room and find Angela and Megan giggling together. Carlie hands them both a beer and we sit on the couch opposite them.

“God it’s about time you two came back. I was wondering if we were going to hear some sex in the kitchen,” Megan says rolling her eyes.

Carlie threw a pillow at her. Megan smacked it to the floor laughing.

I laughed. I was going to like Megan. Carlie slipped her hand into mine. I smile like a dork because I am truly happy.

Angela laughs at me because she knows what’s going through my head.

“So chickas! Why don’t we watch a movie and order a pizza?” Megan says.

“All okay with pepperoni and mushroom?” Carlie asks.

Angela and I drool instantly. “My favorite,” we say simultaneously.

Carlie and Megan laugh at us. Then they go to the kitchen and call and order a pizza. Angela and I look through Carlie’s movies. I pick out Easy A.

They come back to the living room and we put the movie in. The pizza arrives half an hour later. We eat and finish watching the movie.

At the end of the movie I am curled into Carlie’s arms. I feel so safe right now and I want to fall asleep. She runs her fingers through my hair.

“You okay Rae?” She whispers.

I look up at her and smile. I nod my head yes. I look over at Angela and Megan. They are both staring at us grinning like idiots. I look back at Carlie.

She smiles at me and kisses me.

“I want to go to bed,” I whine.

“Okay, we can do that,” Carlie says.

Angela and Megan decide that they are going to watch another movie. Carlie and I go to her bedroom and curl up together. I fall asleep quickly and was lost in my dreams.

Sorry this chapter is so short. I almost didn't write it. But I needed a little filler before the next chapter. Trust me the next chapter is the part that matters. :)
