Chapter 13

The next week and half was torcher for Rae. She basically hibernated in her apartment leaving only to go to work. Angela and Carlie both text her and called her numerous times. Neither getting any response. She sat through classes like a zombie.

Finally it was the last day of class. Rae got there a little bit early and started right into her keyboarding work.

Angela showed up and was standing in the parking lot for a few minutes. She had gotten a hold of Megan earlier in the day and was waiting for her. Megan pulled up shortly after Angela got out of her car.

“Well what’s the verdict?” Megan asks.

“I don’t think she’s said anything yet,” Angela stated.

Bethany pulled in four spaces down. The two of them circled her car. She got out and tried to run. Megan grabbed her and slammed her down on the hood of her car.

“Have you talked to the dean yet bitch?” Megan growled.

“No. And I’m not going to,” Bethany said sounding scared.

“Angela,” Megan said.

Angela went over to the car with a key and scratched it noticing that the scratch from last week was repaired already.

“You sure about that?” Megan asks.

“No. I won’t say anything. Those two deserve it,” Bethany said.

Angela scraped the key along the entire length of the car.

Bethany began crying. “Okay! Stop damaging my car!” She wined.

Megan and Angela both smirked.

Bethany scurried off into the building.

“Don’t worry I’ll make sure she fixes things,” Angela said thanking Megan for her help and heading to class.

Keyboarding went by quickly and quietly. At break time Angela cornered Bethany again making sure that she understood what was to happen. She nodded that she did and scurried off towards the dean’s office.

Angela went back to class.

Half an hour before class ended for the night the Dean came back to the room and fetched Carlie and Rae for a second time.

They followed him to his office wondering what the problem could possibly be now.

They sat down much like they had the week before.

“I don’t know what you two are up to. Something sounds fishy in all of this to me. The girl who came and saw me last week just came back sporting a black eye and claims that she was mistaken last week. I don’t buy it. I’ll still be watching both of you,” He says.

Carlie and I look at each other confused.

“Get out of my office and I don’t want to see either of you back here again,” He said shooing them.

The two of them went back to the classroom to find it empty.

“Those little bastards,” Carlie said a little bit annoyed that the class had dismissed themselves.

She then turned to Rae who was smiling.

“I love you Rae,” Carlie said.

“I love you too Carlie,” Rae said going to her and hugging her.

Carlie was so excited about everything that she picked Rae up and hugged her tight. They were both full of smiles when Carlie spotted someone outside the door.

She instantly dropped Rae and stepped back.

Rae turned to find Bethany coming into the room.

“I…” Carlie started.

Bethany shook her head.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have turned you guys in. You’re obviously happy. I shouldn’t have ruined it,” She said.

“Well Bethany we should have been a little bit more conscious of what we were doing. You shouldn’t have seen what you saw,” Carlie said. “Have a good night,” She added dismissing Bethany.

Bethany turned and left.

“My place or yours?” Carlie asks.

“Yours,” Rae states grabbing Carlies hand and following her out of the building.

When they got outside they found Megan and Angela giggling together.

“What are you up to Megan? You have been here twice in the last week. You’re up to something,” Carlie says going over to her friend.

“Carls, I’m taking care of my girl like I always do,” Megan says with a smile.

Carlie thinks about things for a moment.

“Oh my god Megan! You didn’t!” She says alarmed as she just pieced the events of tonight together.

“I always take care of my best girl,” Megan says.
