Phoenix High-- A Minecraft Diaries AU

:Chapter 2:

We finally get off the plane for what seemed like hours. I scan the area and notice people here and there that were on our plane, but no one I recognize. We get an Uber and drive into town.

We cross through the city, which I'm glad about since it looked way to crammed. Apparently, they call that area O'khasis City, and pretty much everyone looked a little mean. I was glad when we went by as the thought crossed that we haven't checked exactly where the house was.

All we have seen are photos but I have a good felling about this. We arrive into the town of Phoenix Drop. It looks like a nice community, people are walking everywhere, there is one- nope two playgrounds, people are chatting in a little park. Overall, it looks magical. 

We pass the high school, a two story building that by the looks of it has a basement as well. It reminds me of one of those green schools; greenhouses everywhere and windows in every room. It looks almost relaxing. 

We pass it and find a long driveway where the Uber drops us off. We pay him and I rate him with 5 stars. I see the house as we are walking up the driveway. It looks almost like a dream.

It is surrounded in flowers and purple trees, but is open enough to see throughout the town. Once we reach the top, I scan our new house. 

We enter with the keys they told us were under the flowerpot and look around. Malachi and Levin already seem to enjoy it as their is a play area for them outside. We bring in our bags as I search every room. 

We bought it furnished and the realtor was super friendly. The main level includes a nice kitchen and a table. There is a big basement-like thing that has a window across the walls. In there is a storage room and two bedrooms; one for Zoey and another for a guest room.

The top floor is where Levin, Malachi and I will sleep. Levin and Malachi are sharing a room as they insisted they wanted to sleep together. It includes two twin beds and the owner kept a toy box filled with little trinkets for them.

My room includes a nice purple bed and a painting easel in the corner. It also has a little dresser for my clothes to go in. I unpack my belongings while everyone else does the same. 

Once we are all finished, we decorate. I hang up pictures of our family, one including our parents. I somewhat try to block it out as I don't want to think about it. We also add rugs and many other little knickknacks. 

I enter Zoey's room to be greeted to a mini healing station, as she learned a lot from my mother. Her bed sits in one corner and spices and herbs hang from the walls. She is into ecology, so I am not surprised.

My stomach growls from all of the good scents in Zoey's room so I walk back upstairs to where Zoey, Levin and Malachi are seated.

"Um hey! Do you guys like it?" I question.

"I love it here!" says Malachi.

"Lev love it too!!" says Levin in his subtle voice. 

"I think you made a wonderful choice Aphmau." Zoey smiles.

"That's great! I was thinking we could gather some food and go to the beach in the back." I suggest.

"I agree." Zoey says. "We should head out now if we still want time to go swim." 

"Okay then. Levin and Malachi, go get your shoes on so we can go." I say while they nod and put them on. We walk back into the wonderful town. 

People wave at us and we wave back. For once in a long time, I am actually grinning in public. The town definitely seems to be making an impact.

We find the local market where people are selling food and goods. I find the fresh market and chat.

"Um, Hi! My name is Aphmau. May I ask what you have for sale?" I question a man, about five years older than me, fresh out of school.
