A loss on humanity.

Work. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.
Work. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.
Work. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Perfection. Perfection. Perfection.
Madness. Insanity. Perfection.
Façades rise high,
    Emotions hidden low
Fake smiles given
That is how we have come to grow.

Time. Time. Time.
Power. Power. Power.
Strength. Strength. Strength.
Money. Money. Money.
Time. Power. Strength. Money.
Greed becomes our companion,
     Generosity becomes our foe
Compassion flows out
This is all we have come to know.

Lies. Lies. Lies.
Abhorrent, Repulsive lies
That we polish to keep up the ties
Of the steadily crumbling disguise.
Façades raised high,
      Emotions hidden low
Fake smiles given
This is how we run the show.

Hate. Detest. Revenge.
Wars that can never make any mends.
Broken oaths, Treacherous promises
An infinite path of doom that never ends.
Blood runs free; Fear streams from head to toe,
Much of the world is broken
This is how the world will end with woe.

Fame. Idols. Sin.
Arouse desires from deep within.
Envy becomes our companion
Benevolence becomes a shadow,
Malignity covers our eyes
This is how we have come to grow.

Humans. Humans. Humans.
Insolent, useless humans.
Quarrel over love
Take life into tow
The peace we once held perished long ago.

Death. Death. Death.
Merciless, cruel death
Always liberating never to bestow
As we prepare for the next life to follow.

Loss. Loss. Loss.
Conquerer of the mind; excruciatingly slow
Strikes humanity in infinite flow.

Lives hidden that we meant to grow
But the weight of humanity will not let them go.

A life I had, pure as snow, is a loss on humanity that I will cease to show.
