"you want me to go on tour with you?" brinsley said as she wiped bread crumbs off the side of her mouth.

it has been two years since brinsley kicked her boyfriend out of her house and since then, she's been a changed person. she didn't regret doing it and she definitely didn't think about him for a second. especially now that she had this really good internship for a manager. without calum, brin went to college. she discovered new things about herself and others, things that calum prohibited her to do because it would "ruin his image". she went to school to be in the music industry, hoping to produce music, or even manage it, anything that dealt with music, she was in. so when her boss zoe smith, the well known manager to the stars, asked her to accompany her on this world tour with her for four months, brin almost choked on the sandwich she was just eating.

"brin, you've been like a daughter to me, and i never want you out of my sight," Zoe said, her smile growing. she crossed her arms and put her foot out, "well?"

brin looked at her surprised, thinking whether or not she was joking.

"i'm not joking," zoe said, reassuring her as if she could read her mind. brin looked at her even more surprised and without thinking, she squealed and jumped up and down and collided into her boss, wrapping her arms around her, completely ignoring the fact she had just dropped her sandwich on the ground. she then noticed that this was completely unprofessional and she let go, looking down at the ground. "it's okay, we can celebrate!" zoe said, laughing. without a second thought, brinsley wrapped her arms around the best boss in the world and they both jumped around together.

"who's the artist?" brin said, smiling as she let go of her boss.

"it's a band called 5 seconds of summer and they're pretty huge," zoe said, smiling and screaming to herself because she was genuinely happy that she got the job to manage one of the hottest bands in the world. unfortunately, brin never heard of them. she wasn't into the mainstream scene. in fact, she tried her best to avoid it. all it did was create drama and she had enough of that in her life. she was definitely more into the indie scene, into bands that weren't popular yet and she hoped they wouldn't get more successful. it sounded selfish but she wasn't into mainstream. call her a typical hipster.

"pack tonight, we leave tomorrow to meet the band at the airport," zoe said, turning around.

"wait!" brin said, stopping her boss as she looked up from her tablet, "tomorrow? so soon?"

"yeah, my same reaction. they legit called me last minute last week because their last one quit on them last minute. i can't keep up with all these bands needs," she said laughing to herself. brin could actually see the stress in her boss' face and she felt bad, "that's why i need you." zoe rubbed brin's arm and smiled at her before turning around and leaving her in her apartment. "be ready by 7 in the morning. i'll come and pick you up," said zoe, before closing the door to brin's apartment. as soon as she left, brin celebrated. she jumped up and down, knocking over some things, but she couldn't care less. she was going on tour. she was going to get her shot. she couldn't fuck this up. she ran to her room and began to pack, filled with excitement that she was going to travel the world.

"how are you up?" brin said climbing into the big black suv with her boss after placing in her 4 suitcases in the trunk, not knowing how much stuff she needed. she mentally made a list in her mind before she was ready for the car to leave. her mom was in town to water her plants, she locked the windows and doors, she cleaned the house, she had her phone. everything was going fine.
