(Chapter 1: Welcome To Phantom's Academia!)
"Welcome aboard the Shadow's Bus. The travel time will be over eight hours, and will be overnight. Please take out any blankets, or pillows now." The bus driver stops by at our pickup. Everyone was silent during his announcement, then it erupted in "help me with this!" "Help me with that!" It was all unnecessary efforts. Unlike everyone else, I got my stuff out effortlessly. I packed a black bag for my blankets and pillow, specifically for the bus ride only. It wasn't my idea of course, it was hers, oh, I forgot my pillow. "One more stop, and we're off to the Highway." The bus driver dims the lights, and starts the bus onwards. I stared outside, gently sighing. Phantom's Academia, or nicknamed the Seasonal territory. It's the first ever territory to have the complete seasonal cycle, unlike Ixton, which is stuck between fall and winter. Not to mention, Phantom Academia is a territory, and the entire thing is a boarding school. It contains grades sixth through twelfth. It even has a separate college campus NorthWest, and a town splitting the two campuses. Skunk asked if I wanted to go here, well, she kinda forced me into it. She did make good money to send me. I took my phone out and looked up Phantom Academia's website. I have no idea how this school is laid out. I know I'm a second-year high schooler, and my classes can be easily found, and I won't be staying in a normal dorm. It's a separate dorm house, holding about.. Hmm, I should log into my student information. It's large living space, and we have a House Overseer to regulate things, I'll meet him or her when I arrive. It doesn't sound bad, as long as the other residents aren't annoying. Skunk also paid for the separate dorm house. I yawned, I don't get why they pick us up so late. I looked at the time on my phone, 10:15. Hmm, I put it away, and looked outside the window again. "Last stop!" The bus halted, and I glance forward, the bus got really packed, everyone has someone to sit by. I'm in the way back in an empty seat. The seats on the other side were full, and so is my side. Wait, the bus is packed. That means the last person sits by me. I thought I could somehow avoid this. I move my stuff beforehand, and boots clack, echoing throughout the bus. I peered over the heads, and saw a small blond girl, she's.. super small. I rose an eyebrow, then she won't take much space than. The blond looks around, a frown planted on her face, thinking that the bus is full. I sat up, trying to make myself stand out. She finally looks my way, and then hastens her pace. "C-Could I sit here?" She smiles at me. "Yeah." I nod, crossing my arms beneath my blanket. "We're off to Phantom's Academia. We'll take an occasional breaks." The driver dims the lights again, and drives into the dark woods. The girl sits down quietly, and huddles in her scarf, looking at the ground. I shut my eyes, and leaned back, facing my head down. I guess I'll take a nap.
[1:54 A.M.]
My eyes slowly open, as they adjust to the darkness. My head rests on something crooked. I look to my side, those aren't my legs.. I bunched my face, and slowly rose up. I-I was lying on that blonde's shoulder. "S.. Sorry." I mumbled. "Ah, I don't mind at all. Y-You have some drool there." She smiles sweetly, and points at my face. I face away, and wiped the drool from my chin. Geez, how embarrassing. I guess I should probably stay awake the whole way. I realized half the bus was asleep, and it was quiet. It's dark outside, and we're on the highway, nothing was visible, only the fog, and rain that began. I've never been on the Highway. I blinked, and look up, a small shimmer in the sky. The moon's barely visible by the trees. I suddenly jumped, as the blond sneezes beside me. "Ah, bless you." I look at her, and noticed her clothes. She wasn't wearing anything warm for Ixton. She could get sick like that, what an idiot. "Thanks.." She sniffles, with a frown. "Here.." I wrapped her around my blanket, and took my jacket off for a blanket, I was used to the cold anyways. "..." I could tell she was looking at me with a surprised look. "Th-Thank you." She says gently, and cuddles under the blanket. I smile to myself. Somehow, and somewhere down the line, I ended up dozing off, and falling asleep again.
[Arrival; 7:27]
"We've made it! That's--- make sure-- fun!" I felt sudden rocking movements, and annoying sounds of exited chatter. Ugh, I guess I have no choice. I open my eyes, and noticed something smooth on my cheek, yellow. Hmm? I rose my head up, as the yellow slides down my arm. It's the Blond. We laid on each other's heads? How does that happen? "Hey..! We're getting off." I shook her. "Nugh.." She groans. "Wake up!" I shook her rougher. "Stop.. It.." She weakly flails her arms at me. "H-Hey, I said wake up!" I headbutted her. "Ow! Wh-What was that for?" She looks up at me, clenching her head.
"We're here." I said to her.
"Eh, r-really?" Her eyes sparkled, as she turns sideways, her small smile turns wider.
"Time to get off." The bus driver smiles at us.
"R-Right." The blond nods, as she turns to me. "Thanks for everything." She pats my head unexpectedly. I frown to myself, blushing. The blond leaves as I packed my blanket in the backpack. She's a weird girl. I leave the bus, as the driver wishes me luck. I stumbled over the tree covered grass, and found a bulletin board. I approach it, there were lot of flaps of paper pinned up with names, they were even alphabetized, and sorted by grade. Christian Black, Madeline Cluvar, Jason Iddly, Nicole Ice, Thomas Licennon. Crap, I can't find my name. I frown, and looked around for some kind of help. "You, are you having trouble finding your name?" A voice behind me scared me. I turn around, and force a smile.
"I am actually.." I nod.
"I see. Are you a second-year?" The girl nods. Hm, she's almost my height. "What's your name?" She stands by the bulletin board.
"Arianna Moncraoe." I replied.
"I'm Student Council President, Tori Skyiar." She grins, and analyzes the names. After a few seconds she sighs. "I can't find it either.. Lets head to the office." Tori nods at me.
"Okay." I follow her.
"Is this your first day here?" Tori asks, walking beside me.
"Yeah, I just enrolled online yesterday." I explained.
"This will be my third-year here." Tori opens the door for me.
"We'll have to confront a teacher." Tori leads me into an elevator, and it went quietly. We headed down a hallway, and entered an vacant room. Only two males were inside most likely teachers. They both turn around at us, and Tori looked a little spooked. I frown, and looked at the guys. Oh, one was a teacher, and the other was a student, with long dark hair, and eyes. He had mark around his left eye too. Eh?! His ears, they're pointed.. Like how the Phantom Family's are. I gulp. "Mr. Bear, good morning. Mr. Phantom, good morning." Tori greets the two.
"..." Mr. Phantom looks uninterested at her.
"Good morning, Tori. What's wrong?" Mr. Bear smiles at us. After explaining the situation to him, he searches the roster for my name, which was in the computer, just not printed out like it was supposed to be.
"You're a resident of the Grand Goliath?" Mr. Phantom glances at me.
"Grand Goliath? Uh, is that the separate dorm?" I questioned him.
"Yeah." He nods.
"Then, yes." I nod.
"I'm a resident too. My name's Matthew Phantom, a second year, like you." He crossed his arms, and looked at me.
"Ah, then Mr. Phantom can walk you there, right?" Mr. Bear smiles at us.
"Heheh." Tori awkwardly smiles.
"I'll walk her there." Matthew agrees.
"Then, enjoy your days here Arianna." Tori smiles at me.
"Right. Thanks for helping me." I smile back, and she leaves the room. "Thanks for the help Mr. Bear." I wave at him.
"Of course." He nods and waves us off.
"Is this your first time here?" Matthew questions me.
"Yeah." I nod.
"What was your make again?" Matthew stops, and faces me.
"...?" Why'd he stop? "I'm Arianna Moncraoe, just call me Audi, please." I introduce myself.
"I see, Audi. You can call me Matthew." He grins at me. "The Grand Goliath is quite far from the main buildings, so I hope you're prepared for a little walking." He scoffs.
"Why is it so far out?" I ask him.
"My father built it recently. He selected me, and a few other students, containing you to live inside." Matthew explained.
"Your part of the Phantom's Family right?" I gulp.
"Yes, I am. I'm son of the principal, mayor, and Council Member of Phantom's Academia." Matthew left the main building back outside. "We have to get there by a car." Matthew explains.
"A car?" I frown.
"Correct. That small building is where you get your transportation ticket, and all these black cars can read the specific transportation ticket you have, and it'll automatically go to the destination." He explained. That is pretty cool though. The car reads your ticket, then takes you where you wanna go. We entered the small building, and Matthew asked for two tickets to the Grand Goliath. I looked around, there were hardly any students inside. Just one, and they had a jacket on.
"Here." Matthew hands me my ticket.
"Thanks." We sat on nearby chairs.
"He said we have to wait for a couple of minutes, and we're riding with that girl over there." Matthew points at the hooded person. "Alright." I flipped my phone out, and it notified me a message. I click on it, from Skunk. "Did you get there safely? (^∇^) on the news it says there's supposed to be a a blizzard, I packed your warm blanket in one of the boxes for you! (^_-) don't forget to text back, got it?! ( ̄Д ̄)ノ" that was received at 4:55. She stayed up pretty late. "Yeah, I had a little trouble on finding my way, but I had help." Sent, 8:21. What am I doing? She's probably dead asleep. I glance behind me at the hooded person, how anonymous. "Your car is here." The guy smiles at us. She gets up, and went out first. We followed behind, and a black car was parked ahead of us, wh-why is it so small?! I furrow my eyebrows, as the girl enters the other side. "It's rather small.." Matthew looks at it uneasy.
"It is.." I open the door.
"I have car sickness, let me sit by the window."
"Eh? F-fine.." I sigh, and squeezed in between them. Matthew shuts the door, and the car drives off. The girl didn't really do anything, at least she's not a talkative kind. For about five straight minutes of driving, we reached a wide two-story house with a nice front yard, and two cars parked in front. The driver lets us disembark. Matthew and I was relived and stretched our limbs freely. We're to tall to be cramped up like that. We turn our heads to the front door and saw tag the girl was being greeted by a kid with orange hair. "Lets ignore him.. He seems noisy." Matthew suggested.
"I agree." I nod. We both walk inside passing the two. The kid seemed to have his full attention on her anyways. We step inside, it seemed like a lobby of a fancy hotel. Ahead of us was a stair case, behind the staircase were three more doors, and a table with flowers against the wall. We took our shoes off, and explored around the house, agreeing to regroup in living room. After spending time analyzing the house, we met up. "Lets find the room keys." Matthew's eyes glimmer.
"Here!" I found them on the wooden, coffee table. Heh, I reached for the one key marked with my initials, AM.
*Jingle*
"Ah, not yet." That kid appeared, and snatched the keys from me.
"...?" Matthew looked at us quietly.
"Tch, what are you doing?" I glared down at him.
"Hmph." He sneers away.
"Please take your seat." He smiles to the hooded girl.
"Welcome to your new home, The Grand Goliath. I'm the assistant supervisor, Carmine Orange." His introduction was short and sweet.
"..." For some reason Matthew stopped talking, and paying attention.
"We have to read over the House Rules, and make proper introductions before I can give you your keys."
"Look Orange, we have a lot of unpacking to do. We're responsible enough to go over the rules ourselves, how about you just give us our keys already?" I narrow my eyes at him.
"No. That's not how things are done here." He shakes his head.
"I gave you a chance. I'll see you after packing Matthew." I nod, and snatch my keys back from him.
"W-Wait!" Orange runs after me but Matthew grabs onto his shoulder and shakes his head no. I left upstairs, as Orange left me alone. Come to think of it, I hope the others aren't like him at all. Upstairs was a huge hallway, with pairs of doors across the halls, four on each side. That last door is probably the bathroom door. I finally find my door, and enter inside. I smile, and threw myself onto the bed. Ah~ it's so soft, I just sink in. Ah~ I can just fall asleep right now~ my eyes popped open, and I rose up. I should get started then! This is perfect. I began unpacking my boxes, an within an hour everything had it's place, and the room really began to shape. The bookshelves were filled with novels, graphic novels, a few plush characters, and figurines. The dresser was filled with unmentionables. The closet had outwear, shoes, and multiple. school uniforms. The small entertainment center had my games and movies. I had already hooked my system up too. The desk had my laptop on charge, notebooks in the drawers, pencils were in a mug along with pens. I had a drawer filled with nothing but colored pencils. Above the desk some nicknacks that Skunk gave to me on her assignments. I smiled, and felt accomplished. I flipped my phone out and the time was, 10:15 a.m. Skunk is probably still asleep. I set my phone on the charger beside my bed, and look outside. It seemed like it did before, the sun's barely coming up, or it's probably just the clouds everywhere, either way it looks dark and gray, oh and it started to snow. I take a deep breath and exhale. I wonder if Matthew, and that girl survived downstairs.
*knock knock*
I heard gentle knocks at the door, and approached it. That can't be Matthew already. I open the door and familiar blond hair surprises me. I stared into blue, endless eyes that stared up at me, it's definitely that girl on the bus. "I'm sorry to bother you, but Carmine told me to give you this." She hands me a thick packet of paper. "It's the rule book. Well, that's all." She nods, and walks away. I shut the door, and stared down pass the paper. "She didn't recognize me." I felt a little empty inside. I threw the papers onto the dresser, and thought about the other rooms. I wonder if I should introduce myself to them, but than I'd have to talk. I frown, I could drag Matthew with me. Either way, I left the room,"ah!" The Blond gasps as I open my door. I almost crashed into her, what does she want now? "S-Sorry, but I forgot to introduce myself." She signals her hand over. "..." I rose an eyebrow up, and bent over towards her. "I'm Hannah Linklen, thanks again for the ride." She rustles my head, and smiles. I slightly blush, and stared up at her, surprised, and curious. My first impressions never really go too well, this is awkward. "Heheh! I knew you were the same person!" Hannah plants a fist on her hand. Snapping me back into reality, that feeling I felt, it's warm. "Well, what's your name?" Hannah blinks up at me with her endless, blue eyes.
"A-Arianna Moncraoe, please call me Audi." I cleared my throat, looking away.
"If you want, if you're not busy.. Do you.." She clenches her fist, and steps back.
"What is it?" I questioned.
"Do you wanna come with me to be able to town to people?" She looks up at me.
"What? I can talk to people. That scene with Orange was because he was being selfish, and inconsiderate." I pursed my lips.
"Heheh, I understand. I'm just saying I want you to come with me to meet the other residents. So, how about it?" She smiled brightly at me. Eh? I blushed, feeling my cheeks burn. Why me specifically? "S-Sure. I wasn't doing anything anyways." I shrug, looking away. "Heheh, we're neighbors too." She seems grins, and looks excited. "Alright." Hannah knocks on the first door of our side, and we nothing. She knocks on the door, and there was no reply. She knocks again, and we wait a bit longer. "They must be out, or probably sleeping too." I told her.
"Yeah, maybe we should've tried at a later time?" Hannah smiled reassuringly.
"..." I looked at her and followed.
She knocks on the second door, and the door opens right away.
"Matthew?" I looked surprised. We're neighbors too.
"Audi? Hannah?" He looks down at her.
"Hey Matt, we're going around introducing ourselves want to join us?" Hannah invites him.
"... Sure." Matthew nods, and leaves his room. Matthew smirks at me, and we followed Hannah to the other side's first door. She stared down at the doorknob. She remains still for about a minute. "Hannah? What's wrong?" I leaned down by her head, and I noticed a piece of paper. It was a note that hung around the doorknob. "Not home." Matthew read aloud.
"No one likes us!" Hannah turns around, tearing up.
"Ah, w-we just picked a bad time is all." I reassured her awkwardly.
"That may not be the case." Matthew looks away uneasy.
"Eh!?" She frowns.
"You're not helping." I glared back at him.
"Heheh." He snickers.
"I like you Hannah." I mumbled towards her.
"Really?" She rubs her eyes. "I like you too." Hannah smiles happily. She's simple-minded, sensitive too, unless she was doing that on purpose, she did recover rather quickly.
"Have you guys yet to introduce yourselves to someone yet?" Matthew looks at us awkwardly.
"Y-Yes, the other doors never answered, or we already knew them like you." I explained to him.
"Carmine told me this was his room, so the third door.." Hannah skips Orange's door, and goes to the next.
*THUD* *CRASH!*
"..." Hannah awkwardly smiles back at me. I shrug, and waited for her reaction.
"Sounds like trouble." Matthew comments.
"Heh." She gently knocks, but when she does, a thud swallows it.
"Be more forceful." I told her. She knocks harder, and a few scrambling noises occur.
"They're coming." Matthew crossed his arms.
"H-Hi, sorry for the noise! I dropped one of my boxes, big mess.." The boy sighs, and frowns.
"We could help you.." Hannah steps forward. We? As in all of us here?
"N-no! No, that's alright. Th-They're personal stuff." He blushed, looking ashamed.
"I understand, well, we came to introduce ourselves but we can come back another time." Hannah forced a smile.
"No, now's fine. Then we can talk later after dinner. I'm Ken." He reveals himself over the door and smiles down at Hannah.
"I'm Matthew Phantom." Matthew looks slightly intimidating at him.
"Hannah, and this is Audi." Hannah introduces us.
He flashed a smile to us, and turns his attention to Hannah.
"Well, good luck cleaning up." Hannah waves.
"Thanks." He smirks, and enters his room. Hmph, he's a threat. "Audi, why do you have that look?" Hannah question me.
"What look?" I replied, keeping my gaze steady.
"You're covered in jealousy." Matthew smirks at me.
"Your eyes are focused at his door. Is there something off about him?" Hannah cocks her head.
"Shut up, Matthew." I wonder if I should tell her. "No, it's nothing, onto the next door." I walked ahead, if he does try anything, I'll be there for her.
"Hmm.." Matthew sighs.
"..?" Hannah looks up at him, and then at me. "H-Hey wait a minute!" Hannah catches up to me. "Are you hiding something?" She looks at me questioningly.
"No." I look down at her.
"Okay." Hannah nods, that was quick! She turns around, facing the last door, at the end, which was also across from mine. After going through all the doors, it was a waste of time. Hannah goes ahead and knocks, and on contact the door slightly opens.
"Be careful you two." Matthew frowns. I peer over her head, the door's cracked, wait.. I saw something shimmer at my eyes, a wire trap?! Hannah pushes the door forward. "Hannah, wait!" I step forward, pushing her away. Like an idiot, I tripped over my feet, and stumbled back onto the door.
*Clank!*
Above me, was a bucket of water slowly collapsing down. "Ha! Ha! Ha!" A slow-motioned laughter is heard within the room. As the door braces impact against the inner wall, everything slowed down even more. I saw Hannah trying to reach out for me. Matthew looking at me with a surprised look. the laughter cuts off, and the bucket's water comes into contact. I'm drenched in freezing water. The bucket flies past me, and rolls in the bedroom. Hannah looks at me surprised, with her mouth covered. Matthew stares at me in awe. I look towards the edge of the bed and I saw a statued girl. Her auburn hair was tied up, and she wore a track suit. I sloshed towards her, as she hiccups, and sweat runs down her face. "Did you plan this?" I glared down at her. "E-Emma Valkrye, at your service!" Her eyes begin tearing in fear.
"So you did." Anger, and an idea struck me. "At my service, you say. Lets keep it like that Emma Valkyre."
"Yes ma'am!!" She nods hitting her head against the floor.
"Audi, you think you.. Might've went a little too far?" Hannah whispers behind me.
"Of course not. She would've soaked you, but she was lucky." I whispered back, leaning backwards to her.
"Either way, you gained a slave." Matthew butts in. "Slave?" Hannah frowns.
"Now, Emma, you'll wash my clothes once I get in the shower. You hear me?" I looked down at her.
"Yes ma'am!" Emma shouts.
I step out, and looked back. "It was fun, Hannah, and Matthew." I smile, walking straight into my room. Geez, I can't believe such an idiot would do that, I grabbed some pajamas, underwear, and bra. I'm completely soaked. I sigh heavily, and make my way towards the bathroom. Which was a small walk to my left, it's also the final door at the end of the hall. Hannah and Matthew might've went back to their rooms, and Emma's door was closed. I frown, and enter the bathroom. I thought it would be the bathroom, but it's a small changing room. It had cubbies alongside the wall, each with baskets inside. On the opposite side were benches, and a wall. I'll leave my clothes in the first basket. I peeled my wet shirt off, and heard a chuckle. I turn around, and saw Matthew sitting on a bench. "What the hell are you doing in here!?" I blush, and stomped towards him.
"What's wrong? Never bathed with anyone before?" Matthew frowns as I gripped his shirt with my fist.
"You're a guy you idiot." I clenched my teeth.
"...?" He looks at me curiously. "Are you embarrassed?" Matthew slightly blushes.
"Get out!" I kicked him out, and took a relaxed breather. Why'd he get all weird like that? But.. He wasn't flirting. Does he really think like that? I frown. I'm going to talk to him about this later. I relaxed, then continued putting my drenched clothes in the basket. I wrapped myself in a towel and entered the second door, and.. Huh? Th-The bathing rooms..?! I frown, standing there, making an awkward face. It's huge, just like a bathhouse in town. It had separate transparent shower stalls, the large bath that covered most of the room. Fogged up mirrors, with small shower hoses. "Achoo!" I sneezed, right, I better get cleaned up. I scrubbed, soaked, rinse, and got out of the bathroom. I noticed my basket of wet clothes were gone, good, she listens. I peered outside the bathroom door, no one, and quickly raced into my bedroom. Probably would've been smart to bring my clothes with me. I hurried up, and dried off. I put my pajama clothes on. Feeling more refreshed, and at home. I check my phone on the dresser. I'm luckily I left it in here then in my pocket. It was 3:38, woo, time sure flies by. Oh, I got a text. "Really? (~_~;) it IS huge, and it's beautiful right? o(^_^o) Haha! DONT FORGET about that blizzard! Be careful, and DONT FORGET about that extra blanket either! ( ̄^ ̄)> I'm gonna hafta work all this week.. (~_~;) doesn't matter though, I was practicing on the game nearby. Well, for fun mostly, something to stitch the patches ( ̄3 ̄) I love you, and enjoy every moment, GOT IT?! (=゚ω゚)ノ" I gently smile.
"Be careful, and stop killing for sport. You know what it does to a skunk. Even if does help.. I love you too, and be careful out there." I replied, she does talk strangely, well, after plenty of years you get used to it. I laid out in bed, and decide to pass time with some TV, I turn the TV on and it was on the news. "A severe blizzard will be occurring later tonight, please refrain from going outdoors, and make sure to have warm blankets, and heated rooms." The teenage weatherman smiles. Ah, so Skunk was right. I flipped the channel again, a movie was playing. An action, I flipped the channel again, shopping channel, flip, cartoons, flip, another movie. "No! Don't leave me, Marcos!" A woman cries with a man in her arms.
"J-Jeanie.." The man gurgles as It frames out, and shows that several of his limbs are missing. The man goes in her arms, and the credits roll, "huh?" I rose an eyebrow, and flipped the channel. Two boys are running towards each other, each with a giant ball. As the two collide they recoiled, as one spirals backwards. "Haha!" I laughed. I shut the TV off, and looked up at the roof. That won't do it, I guess I'll play a game. I turned on my system as it adjusted to the TV, I got it set up, and slid in an arcade fighting game, a great time passer for me. As time flies steadily, I decide to get off the game as it approached dinnertime, 5:16. I walked downstairs, peering inside the kitchen. I spotted Emma setting a pot into the sink, turning on the faucet to steaming hot water. She wore her hair in a bun, and wore a black apron, with a small blue shark at the button corner. Squeezing pass her, Hannah was there, hair tied up, and wearing a pink rabbit apron. She turns around, looking at the door, and our eyes met, crap! "Oh, Audi, are you okay?" She smiles at me. "Yeah, I'm great!" I slammed the door, and looked behind me. Ken smiled, and waves at me over in the living room. I blinked at Ken, and ignored him. I approach the front doors. I wonder if the snow is bad right now, I reached for the doorknob and heard it jiggle. I slightly step back, but whoever it was got in, and they nearly bumped into me, but stopped at a centimeter away. It was someone who was pass my shoulders. I rose an eyebrow, and felt too close for comfort. They look up at me, and I saw mix-matched eyes, one piercing blue, and the other gentle green. She was covered in snow, and her cheeks were red. She looked down, and kicks her shoes off. "Pardon me." She steps past me, and walks hurriedly upstairs. She's a little short, but she looked around my age, maybe younger? I don't know, but she was way too close to me. I shiver, as I felt a gust of the cold air. I looked outside, yup, it's really snowing heavily. I shut the door, and locked it securely. I decided to walk back to the hallway. I glare at Ken as he faces the TV. "Auuddii!" I heard a voice call my name. I smiled awkwardly to myself, and enter through the kitchen doors. "Yes?" I whispered inside. "Could you help out?" Hannah smiles up at me, holding a folded apron close to her, and something clenched in her hand.
"Y-yeah, sure." I looked at her awkwardly.
"Here put this on, and lean down." She handed me a clip, and I bent over as she puts the apron over my head. Hannah circles me, and straightens my back, cracking it slightly. I clipped my hair up, as she tied the apron gently. "Thank you." I pat her head, smiling. "Come on, stop playing." She lightly blushes, handing me a knife, and places me at a counter. I set the knife down, and glanced back.
"Just cut all of the ingredients." Hannah directs me.
"Yes ma'am." I salute, and start to cut the carrots.
"Is it done yet, Hannah?" Emma walks in groaning.
"No, we've only just began." Matthew walks in, with his hair tied up.
"Oi, Emma, how about cutting these up?" I approached her with the knife.
"Eh?! Audi?" Emma frowns, starting at me with fear.
"It's Master, to you. Now go finish cutting." I handed her the handle of the knife.
"Yes master!" She rushes towards the veggies.
"Ah, don't run with a knife." Hannah worries.
"Good one Audi." Matthew grins as he stirs a boiling pot on the stove.
"Don't worry." I wrapped my arm around Hannah's shoulder. "She'll do a great job. What's next?" I let go, hands on my hips.
"We have to cut the meat." Hannah turns on a burner, and points to a bowl of already seasoned meat.
"Hear that, Emma?!" I smirk, as she finishes cutting.
"Yes master!!" Emma rushes over to the meat, and focuses.
"Audi.. I-Is it really okay?" Hannah frowns. I headbutted her gently, and grin. "Of course. Now stop worrying. She made an idiotic mistake, not to mention she was slacking earlier. Now she has no choice but to repent for what she's done."
"Hmm.." Hannah looks up at me frowning.
"It's for the best, Hannah." Matthew shrugs.
"Still.. They're are other ways." She looks up at me.
"Ah, don't worry." I rustled her head.
"H-Hey!" She pursed her lips, fighting off my hands.
"Emma's a hard worker either way. This sort of work is what she loves." I smiled down at Hannah. If she can spend enough time on that prank, she can spend enough time helping Hannah in the kitchen.
[After Preparation]
Everything was set up, and we gathered around the table. Hannah planned beef stew, and beef stew was made. We all had equal bowl-sized servings, I sat beside Hannah, who was next to Emma at the end seat. On the other side, Ken, Matthew, and Carmine sat. That girl, and the other resident, if there was one, never came down to eat.
"It's delicious." Matthew says, savoring his bite.
"Oh, this is good!" Ken chows down.
"Ah.. Sooo goo.. D.." Emma slinks down.
"You did a magnificent job Hannah, Matthew, and Emma." Orange savors the taste.
"Ah, Audi helped too." Hannah smiles at me.
"Oh.. I see." He sneers at me.
"Kuh!" I bit down on the spoon momentarily. "I'm done."
"Would you like seconds?" Hannah asks me.
"I'm full, thanks for asking." I smiled down at her. She nods. "Don't forget to wash my dish, Emma." I walked through the kitchen door, and put my dish in the sink. "Yes master!!" As, she recuperated. I slid open the door, and that girl appears, yet again, nearly bumping into me. "Hey.." I frown.
"Oh.. Sorry." She looks up at me surprised.
"Who are you?" I look down at her.
"Mia Ooruo." Mia looks at me, with a blank expression,
"I'm Audi Moncraoe, and this is Ha- ah- ah.." I stood still, and didn't do anything.
"Ha- ah?" Mia cocks her head confused.
"Hahahah!" I laugh awkwardly. I blush and look behind me. I was about to introduce Hannah, for what reason.. She's not even here right now. She looks at me blankly, than waits. "There's some beef stew on the stove. You should eat with everyone." I shrug, making my way towards the stairs. I headed into my bedroom, and crashed onto my bed. Ah~ so warm, so comfy. In a short matter of time, I fell asleep.
[1:40 a.m.]
Why is it so cold!? I shivered, going under my blanket for warmth. I hopped out of bed. That's right, I forgot to get the extra blanket. I dug around through the empty boxes, and eventually found it. I overlapped the blankets, and it was significantly warmer.
*knock knock*
Who's that at this time of night?! I frown, the ground's too cold to touch! I also lost my socks somewhere.
[Hannah Linklen]
Ah, I knew it was a stupid idea! Why would she even answer? Wait, she said to be more forceful. I rubbed my arms for slight warmth, and readied to knock again. As I was close to impact I stopped, and looked up, it's Audi! I knew she was a good person! Despite her cold personality. "Hannah?" She looks down at me, her eyes squinted like she just woke up.
"C-Could I borrow a blanket Audi?" I blushed, asking her nervously.
[Audi Moncraoe]
What? I look away, and slightly blush. Her expression.. So cute! Ah, I can't get distracted. "No." I shut the door, and held onto the doorknob. I made a hard frown, d-did I just panic right now? I opened the door again, and Hannah was still there, her face bright red. "O-Only for tonight though." I stuck a finger up,
"Really? I appreciate it." She forced a smile.
"Y-Yeah.. But you'll just have to.. Ahem.. Bunk with me." I blushed, looking away and pointed my thumb back to my room, "Go ahead and lie down, I'll be back." I grab my phone as she enters my bedroom. I walked into the bathroom, and tried flipping the switch on. Just as I though, the power went out. I pointed my flashlight at the mirror and noticed my nose was bleeding. Ah, it's started doing it again?! I quickly got a tissue, and clogged the blood in my nose. Why'd Hannah go to me? She could've asked Emma, or anybody else, but.. Ah~ her expression was so cute~ "Gah! My nose!" I frowned at myself, and quickly blocked the blood, what's wrong with me?
[Hannah Linklen]
Heheh, I was surprised Audi let in, she even suggest me sleeping with her... She's too kind of a person.. Despite her mean look. She's a playful, and caring person, I can tell. Even if it's our first time together. I smile to myself, and laid down on her extra pillow. She came here prepared, bringing two blankets. Than there's me, forgetting my only blanket. I just forgot it at the house. It's an honest mistake anyone could've made! I looked over her room, it's organized, and neat. She plays games, and reads comics. She's a little boyish isn't she? I chuckle to myself. I frown, shivering and cuddled to the blankets, they're so warm.. And smell so nice. It's so comfy in Audi's bed.
[Audi Moncraoe]
Finally, my nosebleed's stops, and I entered met someone beside my bedroom door. "Good evening, Audi.." Matthew smiles at me, and sniffles. "Hey, can I sleep with you tonight? It's really cold." Matthew forces a smile at me, and asks casually.
"..." I ignore him, enter my bedroom, and held the door open. "Go home." I shut the door, turning around. Hannah fell asleep. I plugged my phone back in, despite the power being out, and crawled back into bed. I slept with my back towards her, and shut my eyes. "Cold..~" Hannah mumbles in her sleep, and shivers. I rose an eyebrow, and turn over. Hannah looks snug, but she left her shoulder exposed. I lifted the blanket up to cover her shoulder, and she suddenly lunges at me. Burying her head into my chest. Ouch.. What the hell? I lightly blush. I sigh gently, and wrapped my arm around her. She's so cold. I wonder what would've happen if she hadn't came in. Hannah, what's wrong with you? I wrap my arms around her, frowning. After a short while, I fell asleep feeling warm.
