(Chapter 2: Makeshift Assistant)

Aha! I sealed the knot at my tie, an straighten it up. I grinned at the mirror. Sharp, clean, and beaming. I'm not small, annoying, or a sticky fruit! I walk over to my door, and spotted a piece of paper on ground. I rose an eyebrow, and scrapped it up. Ah, it's a letter, I sigh, and read the small near handwriting. It reminds me of my mother's handwriting, Ah! Wh-What am I saying?
"I have to attend a meeting in Middle North Wing, won't return around 8:00, inform everyone of the school's start date, an answer any questions. Maintain order, keep calm, and remain level-headed. Good luck, Mia." That reminds me, the power did go out last night. I bet it's going to like last year, and the head before that, I sigh, the first day of school is always delayed. Being a Demix from Azureil, snow is everywhere you go, even in the tropics, they say it's more safer. Ah wait! She out 8, is that morning, or tonight? I frowned, and sighed, what an idiot. I leave my room. Checked the thermostat outside of t door, and hear a loud thud, coming from the end room of the other side. I rose an eyebrow, and ignored it. They probably just fell out of bed. Temperature is.. Woah! F-Fifty nine! I quickly turned it up to around seventy-six.
*THUD!*
I heard an even louder thud, from the same room. I grumbled and stomped towards the rooms. "Why are you making so much noise?! Eh.." I barged in, and wh-what?! My face steamed with embarrassment. I froze, and was speechless. Audi and Hannah seemed to fall out of bed.. That, or Audi was forcefully holding down Hannah. Hannah blushes at me, and Audi looks at me with the same glare as always. Wh-What am I doing?! "Ahem! S-Sorry to interrupt!" Ah, that's not right! I shook my head, and blushed even more. "L-Lock your doors next time!" Gah! Stop it! "E-Excuse me!" I bowed, and slammed the door sprinting to my room. Dammit! What the hell was I doing?! I frown, and paced around my room. What were they thinking?! Doing such indecent acts in a school! Ah, Audi was being too forceful! Wait. What am I saying!? I clenched my head, and saw Mia's note. Maintain ledger, keep calm, and remain level-headed. That's right, I shook my head, took a feel breath, and breathed out. Alright, I have to lecture Audi for her treacherous acts, and get the story from Hannah. But.. I can't possibly confront then now. I might interrupt another of their lucid acts. I exit the room, I need some water to calm down. I walk downstairs, and heard the living room's TV speaking. I rose an eyebrow, and entered the living room curiously. "Ken? You're up early." I frown at him,
"Oh.. You scared me. Good morning." He grins.
"Morning.." I walked into the kitchen again before he could speak. I drank a glass of water. Okay, I'm feeling calm. Wait! I have an idea.. Ken's awake, he seems straight-forward, an idiot, and a nice guy. I wonder of I could tell him to bring them down. I should at least try. I walked back towards the living room, and he looks over to me. "Yeah?" He rose his eyebrows,
"C-Could you do me a small favor?"  I forced a smile.
"Hm? Sure." He stands up and smiles.
"Could you bring Audi, and Hannah down, their at the end of the left hall, they're awake too. Tell them I want to see them in the kitchen." I informed him.
"Eh? Are you that scared of Audi?" He frowns at me.
"No! Of course not." I retorted.
"Oh? Than it's probably Hannah's goddess aura that you're afraid of?" Ken smiles pervertedly.
"No! It's not!" I blush, shouting at him. "C-Could you just go an do that?" I glared up at him.
"Of course, of course. That's their first impressions after all." He walks away with a shrug. I sigh, another idiot. I entered the kitchen room, and took a seat on a stool by the counters. I take a deep breath, I have to prepare myself. I have to get justice for Hannah! "You wanted to see us?" Hannah smiles sweetly walking in.
"Ah~ yes, good morning Hannah." I smiled to her.
"What's the deal, huh?" Audi walks in groaning.
"Th-The deal is your forceful acts towards Hannah!" I declared.
"Huh?" Hannah blushes, as Audi raises her eyebrow, with red cheeks.
"E-Earlier's incident.." I cleared my throat, as Hannah frowns up at Audi. "I understand the coming of age feelings.. B-But make sure you lock your doors before.." I quietly say.
"You're a stupid orange.." Audi clenches her fist, and furrows her eyebrows.
"Huh?" Ack! I'm saying the stupidest things!
"You'd have the audacity to invade my private room. It doesn't matter what we did. It was done under privacy of the students. You're the one who barged in, and disrupted my private act." Audi claims.
"H-Huh?" I blush, and frown. "B-But as assistan-" Audi cuts me off. "The website specifically said they'd have secured private rooms. Students privacy will be secluded within, and not be disturbed." What is she saying?!
"B-But-" I clenched my teeth, and gulped. "But, if there was to be a peeking Tom, they'd be suspended, then expelled." Audi smirks at me, with a piercing glare in her eyes.
"A-Audi don't you think you're going too fa-" Audi covers Hannah's mouth and whispers something to her. Hannah frowns, and mumbles words over Audi's hand.
"Y-You're too forceful to Hannah! In fact, you're too close to Hannah!" I pointed at Audi.
"Huh?" She looks surprised as her cheeks slightly redden.
"There is no violation there." A calm, monotone voice enters the room. "Rule no. 43, students privacy will be respected. Rule no. 34, students choices of interactions with others will not be punished, or halted, only  if theirs is suspicious threatening activities being planned, or motioned." Glasses blinded my eyes, and Audi looks back at the glasses awkwardly.
"Eh? You wear glasses?" Audi narrows her eyes at her.
"M-Mia?" I stared at her.
"Stop gawking. I'm in attendance, and will take upon action." Mia does her famous justice poses towards the two. Audi looks at her as if she was an idiot, and Hannah smiles admirably at her. I frown, and stayed quiet. Dammit.. Why Mia?! "You're in no violation of jokes, but like Carmine said.. Invest in a lock." Mia clicks her glasses.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Audi grumbled with red cheeks.
"Ah, rule no. 15, students will not harm one another, nor force others into devious acts." I recalled a rule.
"... Explain the situation." Mia glanced back at me, and stared at Audi.
"Tch. I only fell off the bed, and she ended up under me." Audi struggles to say.
"Sorry for causing so much trouble." Hannah apologizes.
"D-Don't worry, Hannah! It was all stupid Audi's fault, you know, you should really just avoid her." I salt my hand.
"Shut up, stupid Orange." Audi clenches a fist.
"Oh? What are you gonna do? Smack me with your leves?" I scoffed.
"Audi, that's enough.." Hannah holds onto her arm.
"Fine." Audi sighs, and drags Hannah outside the kitchen. I let out a sigh, and dropped my head on the counter.
"You can't let her taunts conflict with your justice." Mia looks at me.
"She just pisses me off.." I make a straight expression.
"Hmm. She's actually quite likable." Mia clicks her glasses shutting her eyes.
"Ehh? Her, likable? It's only been a day you met her." I rose an eyebrow.
"So..!" Mia walks out. Geez, I messed this, and that argument up. Right in front of Mia too. I frown, and sigh. "Come on, Carmine. We'll have to discuss today's news." Mia pokes her head back in. I nod, and plowed after her towards the living room. The couches were spotted with residents of the house, and I stood ensure Mia, in from of then all. On the left side, in the two-seater couch, Hannah and Audi. On the four-seater, Ken and Dakota. On the other love two-seater, Emma. "Huh? Shouldn't we have one more?" I looked around for the eighth resident.
"They enrolled late, but they'll come by in a matter of days." Mia explained.
"Right." I nod, and look at everyone.
"So what's this for?" Audi glares at me.
"Is this about last night's blizzard?" Ken cocks his head.
"It was freezing.." Emma shivers.
"Yeah.." I frown, clenching my eyes shut.
"..." Mia nudges my elbow, and signals me to start the topic. I nod, and began. "As you all know there was a blizzard last night. There was also a power outage, we apologize for all the inconveniences that was done, and hope you slept warm, and cozy." I bowed.
"..." Hannah blushes, than smiled to herself. Audi looks uninterested, but had light red cheeks. Ken frowns, and smiles awkwardly. Dakota.. Uh, I can't tell if he's asleep or awake. Emma pays attention surprisingly.
"The blizzard was about over twelve inches. Considering the time to clear roads, and paths for students, it will take a few days. Therefore, school will be delayed for another week." I lanced to everyone,
"A whole week?" Audi straightens her face.
"No way!" Emma's eyes sparkled.
"Over twelve inches?!" Ken rose his eyebrows.
"We could build snow forts." Hannah smiled at Audi.
"Sure." She grins back.
"Ahem, please, are their any other questions?" I laced my fingers. At least three hands shot up, I went with the first I saw. "Ken?" I blinked.
"Uh, are we able to leave and go to town?" Ah, that's a good question. I had to think about it, I would hope so.
"Yes. You would have to work to the East Transportation building, and ask for a train ticket. Or ride your personal vehicle, if you dare." Mia responds.
"Alright." Ken nods, and grabs his chin.
"Emma?" I glance over at her,
"When exactly will they clear the smile?" She awaits my answer anxiously.
"In about two days, in estimate." They can't take too long, if they did, school would just be delayed another week. Snow only lasts so much.
"Hm." She soaks in the answer, and nods to it.
"Dakota?" I looked at him as he dozed off. I make an awkward face, as he flings upwards. Sitting straight, and faces my direction.
"What's for breakfast?" He tilts his head.
"Ah.. Some stuff is in the fridge if you'd like to look." I sigh, and clapped my hands together. "That concludes this discussion." I glanced at my phone, and the time was, 9:13. "Good job." Mia nods at me, and walks away upstairs. I slightly smile as my hand vibrated. I got a text, from Mia? I stared down at the phone awkwardly, she was just here.
"Could you attend the student council meeting, it's being held in the Northern quadrant, in the usual room. Take a good notes." She's scurrying out of a meeting again. Wait, that letter from this morning, is this the meeting she was talking about. Well whatever. "Got it." It's great experience! I grabbed a small, and nutritional meal for breakfast, heading towards the door. I grabbed my wires coat, scarf, and hoodie. "Where are out going?" Ken passes the hallway, and looks at me. "A meeting." I slid my right boot on. "Hm, good luck out there." He chuckles. "Yeah." I nod, finishing my shoelaces knot. I exited the house, and nearly stumbled under the snow. Ahem, Northern quadrant, there should be. A small path further down. I heaved my way towards the trees, and spotted the pathway, there's the sign. Phantom's Academia is separated in quadrants, four areas. North, is Hugh schoolers, West is Middle schoolers, South is the exit and entrance, East is transportation. Phantom's Academia is simple, but pretty big, it's not too frustrating to wok through it. Being my third year here, I'm doing good managing my way around. I even got a spot as an Overseer's assistant. I continued down the path, and met the last building at the edge of the forest. I'm surprised that Student Council would call a meeting right after a blizzard. I made it inside where it was nice and warm~ Long corridors, two cases of stairs, and one-sided classrooms were built, specially designed for High schoolers. Something about, decreasing the chances of getting lost. I had to walk to the second floor, down the classrooms halls. These are second-year classrooms. I met the small archway, kind of like a bridge, meeting a pair large double doors. This is the meeting room, where the Student Council, Disciplinary Committee, House Overseers, Assistants, and News Club gathers. I walk inside, and few eyes glanced at me. "Carmine? Only you huh?" An energetic girl, part of the news club, grinned. Mika Dono, News club's president.
"Yes." I nod, and looked at the oval-shaped table. There was hardly anyone here. I don't even see the Student Council president!
"What kind of meeting is this?" I frown awkwardly.
"It's only a minor one, you know, introductions, student's suggestions. If you ask me, I think we made introductions in the opening ceremony, ah wait! We never had one!" She flails her arms onto the table, she's obviously being sarcastic. Mika tuck her blue hair behind her ear, and stared ahead bored.
"I see." I sigh gently. Mia, how could you?
"The l Vice Prez should be COMIN any minute. Oh we have two members of the Disciplinary Committee, there's also me, you, not even House Overseers showed up. They sent their assistants. This was pretty stupid." She folds her arms, and lays back in her chair.
"I see. Thanks for the info." I straighten my tie, and took a seat beside her. I took out a small notebook, and pen.
"Huh? There shouldn't be anything worth writing down, Carmine." Mia looks at me, as if I was an idiot.
"Mia said to," I clicked my pen, and titled it.
"You're an idiot." Mika smiles shrugging.
"Alright! Everyone has finally arrived, and we will begin the meeting." The Vice Prez gathered everyone at the table, and we all await his words. Mia did this to test me, I just know it! I'm not a lazy assistant!

"Have a nice day, ma'am." The store clerk smiled at me. I grabbed my bag, and walk out of the buzzing store. I entered my parked car, and fumbled around in the bag. Ah~ My most favorite candy, Bridged. Basically a chocolate sick, I opened the box, and smiled. Nyah~ hmpfh. Ah~ so delicious. I made the right decision, making Carmine attend the minor meeting, so could catch this sale. I glance at my wristwatch, it should be starting right about now. After finishing a box of Bridges, I turned on my car, and started to drive back to home. It's a long, and quiet drive. I turn up the radio, as it played gentle classical music. After about fifteen minutes, I was halfway there. That blizzard was expected, but not her actions. I grinned, and searched for the picture on my phone at a red light. Hannah and Audi, on her bed together. This is good blackmailing material. Possibly just a tease object. I smirk, and saw the car ahead move. I took a left, and had to stay on this road for a couple of minutes. I watch the road carefully, and eventually, made it back. I had to show them my student I.D. "Clear!" The authorizer nods, and I make my way back to The Grand Goliath. I grabbed my bag, and unlocked the house. I glance at my watch again, 10:26. Oh? Carmine should be getting home soon. I put my shoes, coat, and winter gear off, and stood up. I walk towards the stairs and shut my eyes with a satisfied smile. Heheh~ Due to my reckless actions, I bumped into someone. "W-Watch wher-.." It was Audi. Wait... Heheh, this is a good chance, ah, not yet it's too soon. "Pardon me." I blinked, and finished off the stairs. Audi watches me, and leaves after I've entered my room. I smirk, and put the candy in my mini-fridge, beside my desk. I'll save it for later. I sat on my bed, and stared down at my feet. I'm so bored~ "Hey, Mia! Come down for a second." Audi knocks on my door, and walks away. Hmm? I got up, and went to see what she wanted.
[Carmine Orangee]
I made the trip back, and noticed Mia's silver car parked, and entered the warm, cozy home. I take my coat, scarf, and hoodie off. I feel so much lighter. I take my boots off, as they breathe in the warm air, and I grabbed my small notebook notes. I should get it up to Mia. I head upstairs noticing no one was in the living room, and the kitchen was silent. I frown, and knocked on Mia's door.
"Come in." She replied, I entered, and look at her. "Ah, welcome home, Carmine." Mia clicks her glasses, turning from her desk.
"Sorry to disturb you, here are the meeting's notes I took. It was only student's suggestions." I handed her the notebook.
"Thank you, Carmine." Mia skims over the notes, and gently sighs.
"I'll be off than." I nod, and exited her room. Ah~ I took a deep breath and breathe out. I finished that annoying meeting, not even Mika scavenged anything good. I walk towards my bedroom, and entered. I open my curtains up, and stared out, into the woods. I glance back in my room, and laid sprout out on my bed. This is nice, but I'm so bored~ I haven't heard Ken's thumps, or Audi in a while. I know Dakota is probably asleep somewhere. Emma.. Well, I have no idea about her. Hannah's a good girl, she's probably being tortured by Audi as I speak! I frown, and clenched a fist. I ran downstairs, and glanced in the kitchen. No one's in here. I run to the living room, empty. I throw on my winter coat, and ran outside.
"AAAHH!" I heard a scream from the woods, and gulped. Wh-what the hell? I stare into the woods, and couldn't see anything suspicious. It definitely was a girl's scream. C-Could've it been Hannah's?! I clenched my fists, I can't stand the thought. I sprint aimlessly into the woods, and heard more screaming. I listen to closely in the direction thy came form, and tear out of the woods into an open area, the screams were to the max, and then turned to laughter. I saw the screamer, Hannah, behind a mound of snow, and Audi leaning over her smirking. "Hahaha!" Emma throws snowballs right across from them, hitting it onto their mound of snow. "Ha!" Audi shoots a snowball, and takes out Emma. I frown as Emma collapses backwards, and Ken pops up, throwing snowballs in fours. Audi whispers to Hannah, and she stands up, hands behind her back. The snowballs seize, and Ken tilts his head. "What happened?" He rose an eyebrow. "This!" Hannah, and Audi heave two snowballs at him. He takes the hits in the shoulder, and chest. He falls back in the snow, and the two cheer. I eased to a smile, heh, they didn't even stand a chance. Hannah looks like an angel when she laughs too~ "Watch out!" Audi points, and protected Hannah by a snowball. Audi takes it at the chest, as Hannah stares at her in shock. In her daze, she gets hit on the shoulder. "You lost!" Emma, and Ken shout. Surprised, I saw Dakota tossing a snowball up, and down with his hand. He looks away with a simple umph, as the group laughs. "Lets switch teams now." Emma's eyes sparkled.
"Yeah! I wanna be with Hannah this time." Ken lightly blushes, grinning like an idiot.
"..." Audi nearly spins Ken in a circle as she threw a snowball at his face. Instead, he did a semi-circle.
"Haha! Why'd you even try?" Emma snickers.
*Thud*
I got hit with a snowball, and looked surprised. "Hey, creepy Orange, stop standing there and come fight with us." Audi smirks at me. "Tch. To think you'd get away with that!" I scooped a snowball up, and heaved it towards Audi. Accidentally, it hits Hannah, and Audi heaved a million snowballs at me! I frown, and took cover behind a tree. The snowballs seemed to be slowly chopping the tree down! I gulped, as the others laughed at me. "Stop it, stupid tree!" I shout, diving out. "Kah~!" She got me in the stomach, in mid-air too!  Knocking me backwards, and down into the hard snow. I was pierced by an ice bullet!
"Heheh, as expected!" Ken shakes his head smiling.
"Pierce." Mia appears behind me, hurling a snowball. She targeted Hannah, but Audi chopped the snowball before it could hit her.
"Eh..?" Hannah forces a smile. Audi ignores her, and glared at Mia. She smirks, and clicks her glasses. They're serious. I scramble my way up, and stood beside Mia. "Lets do this." I grin, shaping a snowball. "Oh? Attack!" Audi darted three snowballs towards us. In synch, we dive away, and roll behind a thick tree. "Ha!" Ken hurls a snowball, which barely reaches us. "Pathetic." Mia shoots a ball and takes their corner of the snow mound off. I gulped, and made more snowballs. "Oh not bad, take this!" Audi shouts, and I saw pieces of bark fling off. What the hell?! I peer behind my cover and spot our targets. "This is it!" Audi swings her arm down. Dakota, and Ken throw snowballs at our sides, flanking us?! "Tch." Mia smiles to herself, and picks up our accumulated snowballs.
"Mia, we're done for." I frown at her.
"Don't worry. We'll go out in a bang." She war cries, and sends a barrage of snowballs at Audi. How cheesy! Mia takes shots left and right, and with a shot to the chest, slides down, and looks at me. "You're leader's defeated, Orange!" Audi sneers, standing out from her mound.
"It was fun." Hannah smiles beside her.
"She went out pretty cool." Ken chuckles.
"..." Dakota was asleep on a hammock. I sigh gently, this will be for vengeance! "Hyyaahhh! I sprint upwards, shot Ken down, plopped a snowball at Dakota, and aimed three snowballs at Audi. She didn't  move, the three snow balls hit her. I even managed to strike Hannah. Audi smirks, and doesn't move.
"I won!" I grinned.
"This is the end!" Audi shook her head, and ducks down. Emma jumps over her and the mound, targeting a large snowball towards me.
"Huh?!" I gasped, as I felt the icy cannon on impact. It drug me down, exploded, and buried me under it's snow. "I lost~" I drop my head.
"Haha! We won!" Hannah chuckles.
"That was pretty good." Ken laughs.
"Hohoho, it was all Audi's plan." Emma throws a thumbs up. I smirk, and looked over to Mia. I threw myself up. "Are you okay?" I lend my hand down to her.
"Yeah, good job." She accepts my hand, and clicks her glasses.
"You're so brave Mia." Hannah smiles to her.
"Tch.." Audi looks hurt, and looks away, lips pursed.
"A satisfying loss." Mia smirks. For what seemed like eternity, we had countless snow wars, built snow forts, and made a giant snowball. Burying the sleeping Dakota inside, we rolled him down a small ditch for fun. After a great time, we ordered some take-out pizza, which arrived at 7:52. We didn't get finished, and winded down till 9:30. It was a fun, nice day today. After a comedy movie, that Audi brought down, we dispersed to our bedrooms, and crashed out. I was exhausted of fun and games. "Achoo!" I sneezed, maybe our snow fights were a little too extreme, I make a straight face.
