You watched as Link and Zelda walked and talked together. They were best friends, and you always saw them hanging around each other. You despised them. Well, only Zelda. Link was fine. You and him were friends. Zelda was pretty and popular. Everything you wanted, but didn't have. ( No offense to any of you, I think you're all pretty. You might not though. )
Well, being pretty and popular wasn't everything you wanted. In fact, what you wanted was walking over to you. With Zelda. Yes, you liked Link. No, scratch that, you loved him. That's why you didn't like Zelda. Zelda was actually really nice, but she had better chances with Link. And that made you, well, extremely jealous.
Anyways, Link was walking over to you, and your heart started beating really fast. Calm down, calm down. You told yourself. Link probably was just coming over to be nice. You were friends, after all.
"Hey y/n. How are you?" Link asked. Zelda was standing next to him.
"Okay, I guess." You told him. Link frowned.
"Come on, Zelda and I were about to head over to the park. Wanna come?" He asked. Of course, you couldn't resist.
"Sure!" You said. You got off the bench you were sitting on and you walked next to Link. Zelda was on the other side of Link. You all talked until you reached the park. Zelda's father was there.
"Zelda! There you are. I need your help." Her father said in his booming voice. Zelda looked a little disappointed and then she walked off with her dad. Now it was just you and Link.
"So..." Link said. "Do you like Zelda?"
You were jealous of her. You wanted to say no, but you couldn't just tell Link that. "Uh, she's alright, I guess." You told him.
He laughed in that adorable way that he always did. "What makes you say that, y/n?"
You didn't say anything, and instead you looked at the ground, embarrassed. Then your chin was pulled up by none other than Link's hand. You and him were face to face.
"Jealous?" He asked. You panicked. His lips were literally not even two inches away from yours.
"Uh, um yeah. I-I mean no! Of course not!" You awkwardly told him. He laughed.
"Of course you're jealous. Zelda could get any guy she wanted, and she wants me. I could also get any girl I wanted." He waited for a response.
"W-why aren't you two dating then?" You asked.
"Ugh, clueless." Link tilted his head a little. "Because I don't want her."
Link didn't want Zelda?!?! Your mind and heart were out the window. "W-who do you want?" You asked him.
"None other than the best girl in the world. She's also pretty clueless." Link laughed and you enjoyed it. Then your face went red in embarrassment. "Enjoy my laugh, eh? Well, I enjoy yours."
Then the space between you closed as Link leaned in to kissed you. You were shocked, but you were enjoying it. When you two broke apart for air, you mumbled his name. Link laughed and then he hugged you.
"Oh y/n. The only reason I hanged out with Zelda so much was to get my mind off you." Then he paused. "Y-y/n, to be honest, I was a little scared of my feelings."
You sighed and hugged him back, enjoying his warmth. You wondered what would happen if Zelda found out. Good thing she wasn't here.
"I'll walk you home, okay?" Link asked. You nodded. You broke apart from Link and held his hand.
You and Link were about to walk out of the park when Zelda stormed in your way. "Link! How dare you betray me in this way?!?!" Zelda was raging.
"I-I'm sorry, but I-I love someone else. Now, I would like to take her home in peace." Link mumbled.
"Ugh, fine." Zelda said. She crossed her arms and moved to the side, letting Link and you pass.
Link walked you home, and he watched as you took out your keys from your pocket and unlocked the door. As you shut the door, you saw him smiling and waving. You grinned from ear to ear and waved back.
This was one amazing day...
