You walked into class, feeling different than normal. Somehow, you knew today was going to be a good day. You sat at your desk, lightly drumming your pencil. Looking up, you saw Link talking to some girls across the classroom. Link was such a chick magnet. Luckily you hadn't fallen under his spell. You could see why the girls loved him, but if he flirted with all of them, then there was no point in hoping to get him for yourself.

Link smiled and handed each girl a beautiful yellow rose. Suddenly, all the girls that were still seated surrounded him, begging for more. "I am terribly sorry, but I only have one rose for each of you beautiful ladies. I hand picked them from my garden."

"Hmm, but there's one more rose. Who did I forget?" Link smirked and glanced at you. He walked over to you and placed the rose on your desk.

"Thanks, but no thanks." You told him with a straight face.

"Come on." He said, rolling his eyes. "You must at least love me a little. Your the only girl who hasn't fallen for me." He paused and took a deep breath. "How about we play a game? You come with me on a date. If you fall for me, I win the game and get to keep you."

"What will I get if I win? How do I win?" You asked, taking the rose in your hand.

"If you win then I stop flirting with everyone. You win by going through the date without willingly kissing me." Link  winks at you.

"Fine." You say. "And by the way ladies, yellow roses stand for friendship, not love." At that moment the teacher walks in.

"Where are you taking me?" You asked Link.

"You'll see." He said, smiling at you. He took your hand and ran. As you came closer to the place that he was taking you, you noticed something.

"L-Link. Why do you want me if you win? Do you like me?" You were concerned.

"Actually no." He said looking at you. He picked you up and carried you into his garden. So that's where he was taking you. He put you down on a bench and sat down next to you.

"Why here Link? Here of all places?" You had to admit, it was a beautiful place, but why was Link interested in gardens?

Link sighed and looked up. He took your hand in his. "I am actually very fond of nature. It eases my pain."

H-he liked nature? He cares about the world? "Link, why do you flirt with everyone? Why not only one girl?"

"Well, you see, it's easy to flirt with people you don't like. It's hard to flirt with people you do like. And it's even harder to flirt with people you love." He looked into your eyes, still holding your hand.

That's when you realized. Link did like you. But why did he lie?

"Oh Link. Why did you lie to me?"

"Y/n, I would never lie to you. I was only telling the truth. I don't like you. I love you, and only you." Link let go of your hand and stood up. "Follow me." He said.

He took you to his patch of roses. He had a lot of them, all different colors. He bent down and picked a beautiful red one. You couldn't help but notice the way he moved. He was so graceful. You blushed at the realization.

"You don't happen to know what red means, do you?" He said, holding out the rose.

"Well, of course I do. Red means love." Link smiled at your response and put the rose in your hair.

Then you realized one last thing. You hadn't really seen his true colors until today. At school he just showed his flirty outer shell. But on the inside, he was much more. So technically, this was your first view of him. And that meant you could hand him a lavender rose. Lavender, for love at first sight.

You picked up the most beautiful lavender rose and handed it to Link. Link's smile was priceless.

"T-thanks, um," Link stuttered and tried to look away from you.

You stood on your tiptoes and turned his face towards yours. "L-link. I want to be yours." You kissed him. Willingly.

When the kiss was done, you smiled. "Guess you win, you little charmer." You smirked.

Link burst out into laughter and held you tight.
