Chapter 11: Christmas

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!!" The doctor shouts in my ear.

"Yeah that." I rub my eyes and carry on pouring milk into my cereal.

"Don't be enthusiastic or anything." He sticks his bottom lip out at me and I laugh at his stupidity.

"I'll be enthusiastic, after, I've eaten breakfast." I smile and take a small box from my pocket I wrapped up yesterday after we went to Italy for Christmas shopping "In the meantime you can have this."

"PRESENTS! I ALMOST FORGOT"
He runs off down the stairs and comes back with a box wrapped in golden paper covered in cogs and swirls.

We swap presents and he rips off the the paper from his like an excited puppy with a new toy, I pocket mine and carry on eating cereal.

The present I gave him is a pocket watch from a jewellers instead of time it tells you what phase the moon is in at the moment well the moment being Italy in 2025 so it's not much use but it's quite pretty.

We spend the rest of the day wrapping tinsel round things and discussing when we should have our Christmas next considering we can literally have Christmas any day we want.
We agree to disagree on that one,
Basically, the doctor says tomorrow I say in 12 months.

I open the doctors present to find a small chain with a planet pendant on and a box of 'intergalactic hair dye' definitely not from Italy! He says it changes colour depending on your preference for example if you say hair blue then it goes blue.
I go and apply it, and we end up playing with it for the rest of the day.
After dinner on Saturn with a couple of Martians we befriended we decide to turn in for the... End of the day? I wouldn't exactly call it night we're just floating in space surrounded by infinite amounts of different time zones... I won't go into it now though.
I decide my hair should be white when I sleep as the I will have a clean slate in the morning.
