I watched as she walked toward me with a steaming hot container of coffee, she poured it into my mug, but all the while her eyes never left mine. If it were any other person I would have been slightly annoyed, and extremly weirded out but something about her made her irresistable to the eye. Maybe it was cause she was wearing orange. The orange of her shirt went wonderfully with her brown skin, and it made her look like fall. The cheery orange of her clothes, the brown of her skin, and the rosiness of her cheeks made her look like autumn if anybody ever could. And autumn was my favourite season.

"Um, enjoy your coffee," she squeaked and was about to turn away when I grabbed the wrist of her free hand and asked her to join me.

She looked around. The place was empty now besides the officer, and that Flo girl who had given me my first few cups. It was quiet besides the faint sound of the radio on the counter and the sound of the clock above the door ticking away.

"I guess I could spare a second," it was then that she noticed I was still holding her wrist. I was quite reluctant to let go. Not because there were insane sparks or those tingly feelings people say erupt on your skin. No, it was more like comfortable, like hearing your favourite song, and realizing it's still the best, or like slipping into your favourite sweater.

But even though I wasn't burning up with intense desire, I could definitely say, I wanted her.

You know if I had to. But I wouldn't. I didn;t even know her, why would I admit to wanting her?

Snap out of it.

I shook my head and dropped her wrist like it was hot. Watching with a sudden change of attitude as she sat, smoothing out her apron Moodily, I wondered how I could get rid of her. Why had I even asked her to sit with me in the first place?

"So," glancing up nevously she asked, "are you from around here?"

"No," I answered calmly looking right into her eyes.

"Oh..." she glanced away from me, "Well that's weird. Not a lot of people come all the way out to middle-of-no-where Colorado. I've spent my whole life here and I don't understand the appeal."

"It's a change in scenery that I can greatly appreciate I guess."

The exchange continuted for another five minutes or so in all of it's glorious awkwardness until she made some excuse about needing to help out in the kitchen. I followed her with my eyes as she walked away from me still thinking about her pathetically vieled curiousity. Who did that? Just sat down with a random customer and decided to play 20 questions? Was it her attempt at flirting or...? I didn't know, but what I did know was that something about her rubbed me the wrong way. But all of my knowledge stopped there, cause I couldn't figure out why she was so annoying. Maybe it was because she had tried to interogate me. Maybe it was because of the way she tapped her foot incesantly as she sat, or the way I was immensly attracted to her even though I really didn't want to be. I had no time for girls. But who could just ignore her?-- especially when she would bite her lip and cast her eyes downward in anxiety.

It was when she made a reapperence to attend to the cop that I grasped why I had been so drawn to her in the first place, and why now I was so irritated. I bristled at the realization. It was her eyes.

A/N: I hope you didn't hate it. I'm not too in love with it tbh, and I'm not expecting much from this whole thing, I'm just going with the flow. What'd you think? Comment and tell me. Maybe suggest things, tell me what you liked didn't like. Feedback people it's a much appreciated thing.

Sam to the side. Except Sam's eyes are green js. Whatever, isn't Freida Pinto gorgeous though? Ik

Lol funfact: I actually didn't plan to make Mike so annoyed and moody. Actually I didn't plan at all.

But you knew that. So vote, coment, fan/follow, and add it to a reading list! (:
