Chapter 5 - Well that was Unexpected

Lorin

-

"It's not working!" I whined for the umpteenth time. Modi and Enki have been giving me a crash course in what I need to do to advance myself spiritually, and honestly I have never felt more pressured in my life. I mean, there's something he knows about me that I don't even know; and apparently it's important seeing as though I have to reach Godli - freaking - ness in a short amount of time. I swear, when I said I wanted my life to change, I didn't mean this much at once!

"Yes it will, Lorin. You just need to breathe slowly, deeply, and calmly the whole time. Don't let your mind wander. Close your eyes, I'll walk you through it again."

I close my eyes and Enki's words, and then I feel him make me sit up straighter, with perfect posture.

"Good. Now, I want you to take deep breaths slowly, holding them for a count of four, then releasing for a count of six... That's it. Keep breathing like that. I want you to visualize a house, castle, anything that you want that is homelike. You can make it look however you want, but you need to be clear and certain in what you want it to look like. This will be your astral temple, a place you can go to to do rituals in public or things like that."

I take in everything he is saying and try to picture my temple. It is a Castle dating back to the 1400s; a Romanian castle. It has a lovely stone walkway, with vibrant green grass and full rose bushes by the steps to the door. The door itself is huge mahogany wood, with a stone gargoyle knocker. Entering the castle, the carpet directly under my feet is a blood red, while the walls are electric blue with black linings. It is a long, semi wide hallway to walk and has desks, chairs, and end tables placed in strategic placings. At the end of the long hallway is a huge opening. It changed from the colour painted walls of the hallway to beautiful white marble. There is a chandelier hanging above, and a double staircase in front of me. To my left, there is a circular doorway leading to more rooms; to my right, is another room, but with a long table with many chairs set up around it. There is a door in the middle of the double stairs, and upon entering, I notice it is a ritual room. It has a place mat for meditation, all the coloured candles, incense, demon sigils, and many more things. The altar is decorated with black velvet with silver candle holders and a silver goblet. Hanging directly above the altar is the satanic pentagram. Feeling like I've done enough in there for now, I slowly bring myself out of the trance I was in, and try to get the full feeling back in my body.

"See? That wasn't so hard." Modi says, lightly punching my shoulder. I roll my eyes at his antics; he's more kid than demon. I think I've said that before, too.

"It was quite remarkable. I've never seen a beginner get it so quickly..." I brush off Enki's compliment.

"It's just because you guys were there to help me; don't get so excited or whatever." I say while looking around the attic. We've decided to practice up here so I don't get caught by my mother, and I can burn the candles and incense without her noticing. The couch is now pushed up against the far wall, and another recliner type chair has been added. In front of the window is where my altar is; it's not much right now, but I know soon I'll get it to look as good as the one in my astral temple. Most of the things found in the trunk were too outdated, like the blood in the jars. I'm so glad I don't have to use that anymore!

I've been practicing really hard on this energy thing. I've learned how to open my chakras, even though my throat one won't cooperate, once again making Enki get that worried look. I'm also getting a lot better and feeling energy around me; not just from people, but from nature and animals as well. Because of this, Enki's and Modi's aura isn't suffocating me anymore, it's more of a thrilling tingle constantly going on in my body. Energy from demons usually wears off in a day or two, but since I'm around them everyday, I'm seeped with it.
