Chapter 19 - Deliberation
Lorin

Enki nods, and says, "We're here. The Isle of Skye."
I honestly couldn't think of a more beautiful place. It is filled with rolling hills, fields of luscious green grass, and towering peaks of rocks. The air smells so fresh and sweet, with the tang of salt water. And the energy! It almost seems palpable, especially here in the Fairy Glen. It's like I can see the blue of the water sprites, or the spark of the fire ones. I can feel them underneath my shoes in the grass, and smell them in the air.
I've never felt more at peace, which is not something I should be feeling while going into the very heart of the organization that wants me dead.
I take a deep breath, and draw this amazing energy into me; as much as I possibly can before bursting. I'm glad I've been working on setting aside and storing extra energy, like Enki and Modi's, because otherwise I probably would have exploded at this point. I have plenty of resources not only to help protect myself, but to also use my magic and help the others (not that they'll truly need it - I mean, they're only Gods, am I right?)
I'm also proud of myself that I've already familiarized myself with the elementals, and know how they affect me, so I can use them but still keep myself balanced. I'm not able to store their energy for long bouts of time, though, because they will start to affect me at that point. I mean, hey, I've been working really hard, but I can't have mastered everything at this point.
Roman takes the lead, being the first one to step out of the stone circle. He looks like he's in his element; completely in control. It's almost like he isn't even aware that he has three shadows following him. We quickly and quietly file into a formation, with me in the middle, Enki right beside me, and Modi bringing up the rear. Our rendezvous point with Abaddon and Abigor is at the valley between the two tallest peaks.
As we draw nearer to them, we pass right by the edge of a cliff, and I stop to peer down at the rocky bottoms. The water crashes against the side of the island, waves breaking through the rock, spraying up and letting it's essence flow wherever it wants. I lean further over the cliff, letting the water mesmerize me. Maybe I should just do it now, jump off and let the waves take my life. I couldn't think of a better place. It would almost seem peaceful, compared to being killed by a Vanator. I can just imagine the air taking hold of me, making me feel weightless, free; I can see the earth pass me by, almost waving, as it lets my body pass; and the water, encompassing my entire being, inside and out, and it claims domain over my life.
A hand grabs my shoulder and pulls me back, just as I am lifting my foot to let it fall over the edge. Enki pulls me into his chest, and presses a kiss to my temple. "You have to be incredibly cautious on this island. It can draw you in, and it will take from you what it wants," he mutters into my hair.
I lean into his embrace, soaking up his love and comfort. The wind whips around us, but it feels as though we are in the eye of a storm. Everything is whirling and causing chaos around us, but we are untouched. We are just together, and whole, and happy. And I don't want to let this feeling go.
But I have to.

Our small group finally makes it to the valley, and in the distance, we see two figures. As we get closer, we see Abigor and Abaddon, patiently waiting for our arrival. Abigor greets us first, his warm personality shining through.
"Finally, took you guys long enough. It feels like I've been waiting forever!"
"We only got here about five minutes ago, my Lords. Pay no mind to him." Abaddon starts, "What is our course of action from here? I suggest we split up and flank from each direction."
