" so? "
" we have an image to keep up you can not just stay in he castle you have to carry on as normal outside as well! "
" father I don't want to what if I see him if I see him I know I will burst right into a nervous breakdown, what would that do to your precious image? "
" don't talk to me like that Eva ."
" why daddy, what are you going to do?" I said mockingly, like a little girl.
" DON'T " he said through gritted teeth.
" why daddy why daddy WHY? " he didn't speak instead he raised his hand and slapped me across the cheek. I held in the tears as the sting ran through my cheek straight to the bone.
I turned and burst out of his study doors, ran out through to the gardens, and out the gates, and I kept running and I could only think of one place to go, Kits house.
The searing pain now just a prickle though I could tell my cheek would be red and streaked with tears, I could feel them, sticky beneath my hand as Kit answered the door.
When he saw me everything I had said and done was forgotten but I had not completely forgotten his doughts about me I couldn't but I had forgiven them, and that was a start.
