" This is what is going on Princess," replied the man in a sleazy disgusting and evil voice. " until you agree to become my wife, and get rid of THAT " he pointed ant Kit " and his good for nothing brother, you and Your little friends will be staying here... Forever."
" I won't ever leave Kit, not ever." I said teary eyed but defiant.
" well then you will all be staying here until the day you all die." He said darkly. None of us felt safe to speak until we heard the heavy door thud shut at the top of the dingy stair case.
" Kit what are we gonna do." I asked crying more than ever.
" I dunno but we need to get out somehow don't we." he replied rocking me back and forth in our embrace trying to calm me down.
" you got that right " Jason piped up from the corner.
" but right now we need to sleep and in any case he will try to treat us poorly. There are two mattresses over there, me and Jason can share and Eva you can have you own, same with pillows and blankets. " he was such a leader and so strong and thoughtful and gentlemanly that I loved him even more at that moment than any other, if that's possible.
" okay but can I be next to the wall, just in case he comes to get me." I asked and I knew they could hear the fear in my voice, I'm sick of being strong.
