(Ryland's POV)
The next morning I went downstairs at 6:00am. I walked into the kitchen to find Savannah cooking. I knew it was her because of her beautiful, long flowing black hair that rested on her shoulders. I smiled then shook my head. Stop that! I couldn't have feelings for Savannah. Not when she's my best friend. I sighed and she turned around.
Sav- Morning
Ryland- Morning, how was the sleepover?
Sav- Really good, found out a few secrets..
Ryland- Oh yeah, like what?
Sav- Well if I told you that then they wouldn't be secrets anymore would they? So I can't tell anyone
I walked over to here and stood behind her whispering in her ear. I placed my hands on her arms while standing so close to her that we couldn't be any closer together.
Ryland- Not even me?
She shuddered at the closeness and I smiled knowing I can make her feel this way. She was smiling too. She turned around to face me making me move my hands and we were standing so close together still with our faces inches apart. She had to hold onto the Oven because she was stood so close to it because I so close to her, with our bodies almost touching. The only sound in that room at that moment was the radio and the song: Over and Over again playing and the quiet sound of her breathing in front of me. I looked into her eyes and leaned forward placing one hand on her hair to grip her head with and the other on her waist pulling her closer and gently and slowly I kissed her.
(Rydel's POV)
I walked downstairs at 6:15am with mom who was the only one awake except from me and Savannah. I didn't know where she was though. We walked towards the kitchen and stopped in the doorway when we saw Savannah pressed up against the Oven and Ryland in front of her with their bodies almost touching. The radio was playing but they were silent. I glanced sideways at mom who was smiling along with me. I forgot to mention, she also knew about Savannah's crush too, Sav's mum told her. We watched silently as Ryland placed one hand on the side of her head and one on her waist before leaning in and kissing her. I smiled widely trying so hard not to squeal in happiness because I couldn't even imagine how Savannah felt right then in that moment. I looked at my mom who was biting her hand, trying not to make a noise. I looked back at them and saw them let go. They just stared at each other and I coughed signalling that we were there. Ryland turned and they both looked at us in shock.
(Savannah's POV)
He kissed me. He kissed me. Like he actually kissed me. I couldn't believe what had just happened but it did and I couldn't help but smile as he let go and looked into my eyes. Then someone coughed and we both looked to see Rydel and Stormie stood in the doorway smirking at us. I breathed out. His sister and mom had just caught us kissing. My heart was beating fast.
Rydel- So, how are you?
Ryland- I'm guessing you saw that then?
Rydel- Every little bit
Stormie- Wait, so are you two dating then?
Ryland- Er, no we're not, it was just a one time thing alright so you can keep this between us four and no has to know because it was one kiss in the past that won't happen again
When he said those words, my mind went blank, my heart stopped racing and I stayed silent as I felt my heart break. I couldn't believe he kissed for nothing. My first kiss for nothing. The kiss meant nothing to him and yet it meant everything to me. I sighed.
Rydel- Really?
She said that looking at me with sympathy knowing that it hurt me and Ryland turned to look at me.
Ryland- Yeah, Right Savannah?
I wanted to say no so badly, I wanted to come right out and say that the kiss meant something to me and just overall shout at him because what he did was unforgivable but I just said:
Sav- Right, it's nothing just a one time thing like he said
He turned back around and I looked down trying to hold back tears.
Ryland- There you go, now can we forget it please?
Stormie-(sighs) Fine, whatever you say
Ryland- Thanks
Then he went and walked out of the kitchen and ran upstairs. Once I heard his bedroom door close, I burst out crying and Rydel ran over to hug me. I cried on her shoulder as she held me tight.
Rydel- I am so sorry babe, I know how much that kiss will have meant to you
Stormie- Honestly Savannah, if he's capable of doing something like that to you then he just isn't worth it ok sweetie?
I let go from Rydel's hug and wiped my eyes with my sleeves while nodding.
Sav- Listen I think I'm gonna go home, I don't feel in the right place to speak or even face anyone
Rydel- Yeah alright that's understandable just as long as your ok?
Sav- I'll be ok don't worry I just need some time alone ok?
Rydel- Ok, see ya whenever
Stormie- Bye
Sav- Bye
Then I walked out of the kitchen and out of the house, across the street to my house and I ran usptairs to my bedroom before locking the door and turning around to let my body drop to the floor and bursting out crying. I hugged my knees and put my head down on my knees crying as I thought:
