(Savannah's POV)
I stood backstage of Good Morning America. I stood looking into the full length mirror that was outlined with a gold diamanté wooden design. I sighed.
Then I felt hands wrap around my waist and my boyfriend came into my sight. He rested his head on my shoulder.
Ryland- Hey
Sav- Hey
Ryland- You ok?
Sav- No, I mean we're about to go out and lie about our relationship to the world in a live global interview, I just I wish that we didn't have too
Ryland- Me too but we have no choice
Sav- I know we don't
I turned around in his grip and looked at him.
Ryland- No matter what happens out there, just remember that I love you
I was taken back. That was the first time that he had said I love you to me. It was quite soon but I didn't care.
Sav- I love you too
He smiled at me and then let go. A few of the crew members that worked here was walking past meaning that we weren't alone anymore. A crew member walked past and signalled that it was time to go. So we walked over to the entrance behind the wall and stood with R5 and Brandon waiting to go on.
Man- And now we're going to be joined by rising family band R5 and new sibling artists Brandon and Savannah also known as The Heirs!
Then we followed as Ross lead us out. I made sure that I walked between Rydel and Brandon so that I was away from Ryland to avoid any awkwardness. We all sat down on two orange couches. It went Ross, Rocky, Riker and Ellington on one couch and me, Rydel, Ryland and Brandon on the other.
Interviewer- Alright well welcome guys, first I want to start by saying congratulations to R5 on the new album Sometime Last Night which was released yesterday
Crowd- (screams)
R5- Yeah! Thank you!
Interviewer- Now we'll talk about that a little later on because right now I want to talk about something that has shocked the nation and is something that's on everyone's mind, Ryland?
Ryland- Yes?
Interviewer- Are you and Savannah dating?
Ryland- No, we're not dating
Interviewer- Well please could you explain this photo?
I looked at the giant screen and on it appeared the picture of me and him kissing outside of his house. I moved back in my seat and sat quietly.
Ryland- Sure, you see next week it is our parent's anniversary and me, my brothers and Rydel all decided to re- create some of their old memories from photo's we found and this was one of them so I asked Savannah to act as if she was my mum and I was obviously my dad and we recreated that photo
Wow! He had really thought about what he was going to say. Everyone else looked amazed as well.
Interviewer- Well that's a really nice idea and Savannah, you were ok with this? I mean how did you react when you were told that you'd be kissing one of your closest friends?
Sav- I admit when we first kissed, it was strange because you know we've been best friends all of our lives and I've never really thought of him in that way but because we are so close like closer than I am to these girls, it wasn't hard to do, it was easy and we did it without any struggle because all the awkwardness had gone from the last 18 years of being together as best friends
Interviewer- Alright well now that we cleared that up, how about we talk about Rydellington?
For the rest of the interview, I just sat back quietly and only answered when I needed too. After the interview we walked backstage to the green room to grab our things. I walked into the greenroom with Ryland behind me. Everyone else had gotten their bags and gone to the car.
Ryland- Thank you
Sav- For what?
Ryland- For going along with all of this, lying to everyone and everything, it really means a lot that your willing to do it and believe me I want nothing more than to tell everyone that your mine but I just don't feel like it's the right time to come clean about it
Sav- Yeah Ok
I stayed quiet.
Ryland- Are you ok?
Sav- Yeah
Ryland- You sure?
Sav- Yes Ryland ok, I'm fine! Let's just go, everyone will be waiting for us
Ryland- Alright, fine
Sav- Thank you
We walked out of the greenroom, me in front and we walked out of the exit and was started walking across the carpark. I saw the van that everyone was stood in front off: Our Parents, R5, Brandon and the girls. I sighed.
Ryland- Alright that's it
I turned around to see that Ryland had stopped walking and he was just stood there looking at me. I stopped.
Sav- What?
Ryland- What is going on with you? Savannah, every since we started dating you have been in some sort of weird mood and I'm really confused as to why?!
Sav- First of all, I have only been in a mood since you said that you wanted to deny our relationship and..
Ryland- Is that what this is all about? Us denying our relationship?
Sav- Yeah Ryland it is ok, when you asked me to be your girlfriend and I said yes, I didn't realise what would come with it
Ryland- What do you mean?
Sav- Ryland, why don't you try opening your brain and answering that for yourself?
Ryland- I don't know
Sav- Think about it! What girl wants to hide their relationship? When you start dating someone, you shouldn't care about what people think just as I don't when I'm with you, alright? I do not care about anyone else, I don't care about whether people are ok with us dating or not, I don't because all that's in my head is the fact that I'm actually with you! I have had a crush on you for the last 3 months and during that time, do you even know how hard it was for me to see you and be near you without telling you everything? It drove me crazy Ryland! So I'm sorry if I want to tell the world that we're dating, I'm sorry if I'm upset because my boyfriend doesn't want to tell anyone about me..
Ryland- Of course I want to tell people about you..
Sav- Then prove it! Stop trying to hide the fact that we're dating, if you really care about this and your serious about our relationship working then prove it! Don't mess me about Ryland..
Ryland- I'm sorry, I dodn't realise that it meant that much to you and I'll tell the world I promise
Sav- Yeah well I'll believe it when I see it
Then I turned and walked over to the Van where everyone was stood quietly in shock. I climbed in and sat down next the window. Everyone else got in and we started driving back home. I stayed silent and sighed. This was one crazy day.
It was only going to get crazier..
