the morning after, harley was so tired that she literally laid in bed for 30 minutes, contemplating on whether or not she should go to work, or call in sick.

it was friday, which meant the weekend was close and she could stay in and sleep all weekend. but she barely had any sleep all night, and she felt so exhausted.

after a long conversation with herself on the pros and cons of calling in sick, she dragged herself out of bed to get ready.

the rest of the day was a drag. by 3pm, she felt so dead and she could barely focus on any of her assignments.

by 5pm, she was ready to go home. she packed up all her belongings 10 minutes before the clock even struck 5.

she didn't care about rush hour, the sooner she left work, the sooner she would be in her bed at home.

"leaving so quickly today, huh?" a voice startled her as she made her way out of the office to the elevators.

she turn her head in the direction of the voice, to see garrett catching up to her side.

"yeah, i just need to get home." she nodded. "oh, where do you stay?" he asked, the two of them waiting for the agonizingly slow elevators to stop. harley never understood why every single office space in the building could be renovated, yet the elevators were neglected every time.

"oh it's just a nearby hotel. i don't have an apartment yet." she explained. "a hotel?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows. "yeah. the company pays for it, you know, since i'm not really here full time yet."

"so it wouldn't make sense for me to buy an apartment if i wasn't going to stay."

"ah, i see." he said, clutching his satchel. "you should really invest in an apartment. i believe they have some in my building. you could take a look at them some time." he offered.

harley pondered on his generous gesture. but she wasn't sure if she was going to stay or not. technically, it wasn't really up to her. if the company decided to hire her full time as an employee after her internship expired, and she decided to take the offer, then she could look into apartment hunting.

"i'll think about it." she said kindly, she didn't want to turn him down, because it was kind of him to offer help.

she'd think about it later, cause the only thing on her mind was her bed.

after what felt like the world's longest nap, harley woke up to loud knocking.

she muttered profanities as she stomped to the door.

"what do you want luke?" she groaned, swinging the door open to meet a pair of emerald green eyes. a pair of eyes that weren't his.

"i don't know what luke wants but," the boy, who was named michael, laughed, "the rest of us insist you come with us."

"was this luke's idea? cause it doesn't seem like him." harley asked. "not at all, the boys had to hold him back so i could even get out of the room." michael joked.

"so you guys are forcing him to go out with you?" harley smirked. "not technically. he said he'd only go out with us if you were there too." he smiled cheekily, his lips were a deep shade of pink.

she couldn't say no to him. it was too hard because he was too adorable.

she sighed in defeat, "i guess. if luke wants me to go so badly."

michael did a victory lap as he made his way back to their room.

harley laughed, closing the door. now she just had to figure out what to wear.

as she searched her wardrobe for an outfit, she thought about luke. the fact that he desperately wanted her there, and how he hung around her almost all the time, and how he was so comfortable even though they barely knew each other. it was cute.

she pondered on the thought of him having a crush on her, but she dismissed it immediately.

she just didn't feel the same. at least right now she didn't.

im just on fire tonight this is like the 3rd chapters i've written in one night

it is also 1 am and i have school tomorrow so pls keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

also garrett is so cute like you don't really know it yet but yeah he is i picture him as cole sprouse but hes super dorky and cute and i thought the name dex fit him cause hes a mega dork so am i yeah
