The Story of a Squid Girl

Nightmares

I woke up in a dark room. It took me a moment to realize where I was, and even then it was hard to believe.

Everything was square, including me. I was in Minecraft!

I tried to sit up, when I noticed that I was bound to the a table with iron cuffs around my hands, feet and neck. I struggled to free myself, but obviously it didn't work. I mean, what stupid villain would trap people in a thing they would escape from?

Suddenly the table jerked upward until I was almost standing, without my feet actually touching the ground. Just across the room, I could make out the shape of my captor.

Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my side, and when I looked down, I saw that a redstone robotic arm had just injected something into me. My vision began to get blurry, and all I saw was a blue blob as my captor walked towards me, holding something in his hand....

And then I woke up. I was in my normal bed, in the normal world, as usual. Weird.

I sat up, banging my head on the headboard, and looked around. I was in my room. Not chained to a table in Minecraft. What a weird dream.

I got up and went downstairs. Mom had already prepared bacon and eggs for me, and I dug in eagerly.

"We'll you seem hungry," she laughed.

I ignored her and continued to eat. Suddenly there was a bang, and I must have jumped a mile in the air.

"Calm down Kaila, it was just Ginger jumping down from her perch," reassured mom. Ginger, our pet cat, walked into the room and sat down on her bed. "Why so jumpy this morning?"

"Nightmares," I sighed.

"What this time?"

"You don't want to know..."

She didn't ask any further questions. Mom was one of the people who respected my privacy, unlike my friends.

Once I finished breakfast, I went upstairs. It was Saturday, so I had all the time in the world to watch videos on YouTube, my all time favourite activity.

I searched up my favourite Youtuber, Skydoesminecraft. Since I didn't have my own YouTube channel, I had to search around and find his new videos all the time. It's really annoying.

I watched his new video, another cops and robbers with Deadlox, ASFJerome, BajanCanadian, Huskymudkipz and Xrpmx13. Then my mom called me to tell me that we were going to be going to the aquarium with my little sister Lilly. I sighed.

We arrived at the aquarium soon after a long drive that involved Lilly annoying the crap outta me by repeatedly reminding us that she was so excited.

We walked around together for a bit, then Mom told me I could go off on my own for a bit. I decided to go take a look at the freshwater lakes exhibit.

After quite a bit of walking, I finally found it. I gazed in at the huge tank that held some of the various fish species found in the Great Lakes. My eyes set on one weird fish.

Actually, it wasn't a fish. It was a squid. Ugh, I hate squids. Sky has taught me that lesson, and it's a good one. Squids are useless and just plain annoying. Our world could survive without them.

In my head,I could just hear the creature yelling "hey bro!! Imma squid!" At me.

"Shut up," I whispered.

The I realized something. Squids don't live in freshwater!

"Excuse me," I interrupted a nearby worker. "Is that squid suppose to be in there?"

The worker cocked his head. "Umm... No." He shrugged. "I wonder how that happened. One second, ill go get a net."

I took another look at the squid. "Stupid squid," I said, then walked away.

Meanwhile...

The worker came back with a net a few minutes later. He climbed up on a ladder so he could reach inside the tank, and searched around for the squid, but it was nowhere to be found...

Meanwhile... (Again)

< In an unknown place >

"Any luck?"

"Yes, the girl has been spotted."

"And?"

"She's a good choice. She would defiantly make a good ally."

"Perfect, all we have to do is reverse her thinking..."
