The Story of a Squid Girl

What happened?

< In the Squid Kingdom >

I woke up with a horrible headache. What had just happened?
I sat up. Who was I? Oh yeah. My name is Kaila. But I don't seem to remember anything else...
I racked my brain for any possible ideas. I like to sing and dance! I remember that! And...
I looked around to see where I was. Where did I live? I don't remember that...
I was underwater, in a huge room with a squid staring down at me. Who the hell was this guy?
I finally had the sense to look at myself, so I glanced down at the floor to inspect my reflection in the shiny tiles.
I had shiny blue-black hair, and pale blue skin. My eyes were dark blue, and I was wearing a short black dress. A weird purple amulet hung from my neck.
I looked up at the squid. "Who are you?"
Maybe I was related to this squid. But I didn't look like a squid! I had legs and arms and a neck! All the things that squids DON'T have!
"I'm your King," the squid answered. It was then I noticed that he was wearing a gold crown. Gold... That is what it's called right? I have a weird feeling that it's called something else...
Suddenly another guy walked into the room. This guy looked kinda like me; blue-black hair, pale blue skin, and a strange amulet.
We stared at eachother for a few seconds, then both asked the same question in unison. "Who the hell are you?"
The weird thing was, this guy seemed familiar. But I just couldn't figure out why.
Finally the Squid King spoke up. "Darien, this is Kaila. Kaila, this is Darien."
I watched as he swam over and whispered something into Darien's ear. I thought I heard the word "capture", but I couldn't be sure. A
The King turned back to me. "Darien is General of the Squid Army." He explained. "He found you after you were attacked by the Sky Army and lost you memory."
"The Sky Army?" I asked, before I could stop myself. The name seemed familiar, but again, I couldn't figure out why.
"They're our arch enemies. They go around killing us, attacking us, all of that."
"That sound horrible!" I exclaimed. "Why would they do that?"
"One of our more disobedient recruits went and bugged Skydoesminecraft in the middle of a mod showcase. He got all mad and killed him. Now he kills every squid he sees, and I know he's after me. I swear, that guy has anger issues," explained the King, rolling his eyes.
"Wait, if Darien is the Squid Army General, what am I?" I asked.
"You don't remember that either?" He sighed. "You're Kaila Squills, the most famous singer and songwriter in all of Minecraft!"
Now I was confused. I don't remember being famous at all! Darien and the word "Sky Army" both seemed familiar, but I don't remember anything about being famous!
"Are you sure? Something seems wrong here..." I said suspiciously.
I saw a brief glimpse of surprise in Darien's face as I said that, but the squid king remained expressionless.
"I can assure you, I'm telling the truth."
I sighed. "Well I'm tired. Where do I sleep?"
The King seemed surprise now. "Don't be rude!" He scolded.
"I'm tired. I get cranky when in tired. Where's my room?"
"Darien, can you show this persistent squid to her room please?" The King sighed.
Darien nodded and motioned for me to come.
I followed him down the hall.

<back in the throne room>

"She's perfect." Said the squid king to himself. "I KNOW that she will do well."
