What did I say about being near Cole?

I gulped while closing my eyes praying for this to just go away. Well this had just put a shitter on my mood, I had fully booked Australia and sorted everything out with my Dad. I was leaving this Friday, very soon I know but since my Dad was pretty big over there since he had a big business he managed to get me on a quick flight, even first class! So that was the only thing helping me through this, that I'd get to escape this hell hole for a week, and it was only 3 days away!

I began to think of all the girls in my class, none of them seemed like they'd do anything like this?! Unless it was Mollie, Sarah, or Rhea...No, it wouldn't be them. They'd never do anything like that to me.

I just need to avoid Cole at all costs today, even though it's going to be pretty hard.

"Breakfast!" Mom shouted down

She was really showing how much she'd change, I didn't trust her fully yet, since of everything that happened but we were nearly there. Plus the swelling on my eye had practically gone now, which was good.

"There you go, darling. Now I have to go, okay?" She reassured

"Where are you going?" I quickly asked

"I got an interview back at my old job" She smiled proudly

Since she started drinking, she just gave up on work completley. Thank god she had a job now, because I don't think I could make it through another month of bills!

"I'll pay you back every penny, and I'll give you some money to take with you to Australia" She smiled

"Thanks, Mom" I smiled back

Wow she really had changed, she left and I carried on eating my cereal, until I heard Mollie outside.

Brilliant, another day of avoiding Cole, just 3 more days to get through and you're out of here! I grabbed my bags and left the house.

"I just saw your Mom, and she actually looked...sober?" She laughed

"Yeah, she's going to a job interview, it's as weird to me as it is to you" I laughed

"Well good for her, we've got the old Marie back" Mollie smiled

I nodded while smiling, it was nice to know I had my old Mom back, at last.

"So you got Aussie all booked now?" Mollie muttered

She had been dreading this day for months, there literally wasn't a day we didn't spend with each other. Well, the days she wasn't with Jay that is.

"Yep, leaving this Friday" I cheered

The car immediatley stopped and I flung forward.

"Mollie what the fuck!?" I roared

"This Friday?! How?!" She shouted

"My Dad managed to book me early tickets, what the he-"

"WHY ARE YOU LEAVING ME SO SOON, I WASN'T EXPECTING THIS, I THOUGHT I'D HAVE A FEW MONTHS TO BUILD UP. SUMMER I AM NOT EMOTIONALLY READY TO HAVE YOU ACROSS THE WORLD FROM ME" She whined

I let out a roar of laughter causing me to grab my stomach as it was hurting so much. "Emotionally ready"?! Where did she get this stuff from?!

"Mollie it's only a week, you'll be fine!" I reassured

"That's what you think" She muttered to herself

She had a face like a slapped arse on her all the way to school until we got out the car.

"Don't tell anyone either Mollie, I will" I muttered knowing how much of a gossip mouth she is

She nodded while leaving me for Jay. I walked into school thanking god  Cole wasn't here just yet.

I made my way to my locker to get my books for English.

"Hello, Frizzy" A voice behind my locker spoke

Dammit! I looked around quickly, the corridor was packed, the unknown person could be watching from anywhere. From my worried facial expression they must realise I'm not doing this purposely, or, I hope they do.

"Hi, Cole" I muttered while filling up my locker

"What lesson you got?" He asked while smiling

Oh my god he looked so cute and I was just about to turn him down what kind of human am I.

"English" I muttered again

"Are you okay?" He asked while grabbing my arm

Damn you Cole! Why do you have to make me feel like this! Why did you just touch my arm with a corridor full of people! Why why why!

"I'm fine" I muttered tugging my arm away

"Want me to walk you to class?" He asked

"No, I'm fine. I gotta go, see you later Cole" I muttered back avoiding eye contact

Quickly I turned and literally sprinted to English. I felt so bad, I couldn't even look him in the eye when I said no, but his face would have killed me. I've never been so horrible to him, especially after we kissed too?! I bet he thinks I don't like him.

Wait, I like him?

You can't like him Summer! He just kissed you because he wanted too, not because he wanted a girlfriend?

But dammit I like him! WHY

Why is this unknown person ruining everything! Fuck you!

I slumped into my chair in English and got ready for another painful hour of Shakespear.

Thank god this day was over, I managed to avoid Cole all day, you've only got 2 days left Summer you can keep this up!

I waited outside for Mollie who appeared within minutes thank god.

"Come on let's go" I smiled trying not to make it obvious I was in a rush

"Hang on, I've got to wait for Jay"

No! Cole will be with Jay!

"Why?" I asked

"He had a test so he asked me to look after his phone for him" She replied

"Okay, well can I go wait in the car? My legs are killing me" I acted

"Yeah sure, I won't be long" She smiled while passing me the keys

I smiled back and quickly walked over to the car, I opened the car door while smiling to myself in achievement.

I messed about on my phone till they came back, until I noticed Cole getting into the car a few down from me, quickly I slid in my seat hoping he hadn't saw me.

I forgot Cole could drive dammit, how do you forget something like that Summer you idiot?!

"What the heck is up with you?!" Mollie laughed

"It was more comfy to sit like this" I laughed back

"You are an odd one, Summer" She smiled
