Chapter 25 - "What can I say. I have a way with the ladies"

I lay in mine and Coles temporary room as I reflected on the news heard two hours ago but it still hadn't sank in.

My Dad was getting married?

Not that there's anything wrong with that, he deserves to be happy. I want him to be.

It was just a...shock, I've never met this woman before, and now I've came here, he's already getting married, in 3 fucking days?!

He could have atleast told me when it happened! Not once when we've skyped has he even mentioned a woman being in his life, when in reality, he had asked one to marry him!

"You still thinking about that?" Cole asked as he dived onto the bed

I nodded as I stared at the wall infront of me.

"You pissed off?" He asked

I shook my head.

"Have you lost your voice?" He asked

"You have too many questions" I finally spoke

"I know" He grinned with a wink

I smiled back at him and sunk down so I was lying next to him. I placed my head on his chest and he wrapped his arm around me. His chest rised up and down, but it was relaxing for me. I could fall asleep right here, right now.

"You're gonna have to go to it, y'know?" He finally spoke

"I know" I sighed

"I'll come, I mean, if you wanted me too" He coughed while itching his neck

He looked so cute when he was embarassed. Although I had been waiting for him to say it, I wanted him to come more than anything, but I didn't want to ask.

I don't know, maybe it just make me feel like I was...suffocating him?

We'd only just started dating, I didn't want him to think he had any commitments, even though I'd like to think he wants them.

"That'd be good" I smiled as I kissed him on the cheek causing him to go more red.

Why was it so cute that he was getting embarassed infront of me?

"Summer,  Cole, dinner!" Dad shouted

Cole stood up as I lay on the bed as I sighed at the effort of standing up, Cole rolled his eyes at me and lifted me up in bridal style.

"You, Summer May, are easily the laziest girl I've ever met" He laughed

Our faces were so close I just wanted to kiss him till I gasped for breath.  Too bad I couldn't.

"Oh you're so sweet" I grinned

"What can I say. I have a way with the ladies" He winked

I laughed and he placed me down as we walked into the kitchen greeted by Dad and Linda. The table was set out with different bowls of food for us to take, I had to say, it looked delicious.

"This looks amazing" Cole admired

"Linda's cooking!" Dad grinned

"Thank you, darling" Linda smiled at Cole as she pecked my Dad on his cheek

And at that moment, I didn't even mind that this woman was marrying my father. She was lovely, not only to him, but to everyone around her. Exactly what my Dad needed, and if she made him happy, then she made me happy.

We all took our seats and Linda instructed us to dig in straight away, easily, we did as she said after our long flight and damn, it tasted amazing. I could live here forever if she cooked for me everyday!
