SUMMERS POV

Am I jumping in too fast? I nearly said it

I nearly said I love you.

I was hoping Cole would say it to me before he left, but he just carried on staring with a smile. Do I like him more than he likes me?

Jeez I really am shit at these relationship things. But I can't let this keep me down, today of all days.

"Something troubling you, hun?" Linda asked while keeping her eyes on the road

"How long did it take Dad to say I love you to you?" I splurted out

Why did I even just ask that. Their relationship won't be the same as ours, they're...old.

She began to smirk making me more fustrated. I might have not known this woman long, but she already knew how to get on my nerves.

"Is this about Cole?" She asked

I nodded without looking at her. My cheeks began to heat up.

"Darling, just because he hasn't said it yet, doesn't mean he doesn't" She reassured

But how do I know if he did?

"Yeah, but maybe he doesn't" I muttered

"Summer I know for fact he's crazy about you" She smiled

"How would you know" I spoke

Since when did she become the relationship expert?

"I've saw the way he looks at you, the way he's so happy around you, how he looks empty even when you just leave the damn room! He is completley in love with you and maybe he's just too scared to admit it" She suggested

Cole? Scared of something?!

Cole is the most confident person I have ever met, there was no way he'd be scared of something like this. But hearing how Linda see's him like this around me, reassured me a little bit, and made me not able to wipe this stupid smile off my face.

"I guess..." I trailed off while resting my head on the car window

We pulled up at the nail salon and I slammed the car door after me. I couldn't get the picture of Cole staring at me with a blank face this morning.

"Good morning ladies!" A chirpy blonde smiled

I did not like morning people. Well, it's actually 12.00pm.

Same thing.

We walked in and there were pink and cream walls plastered with various corners, I guess is  where I'm spending the day since I spotted girls having their make up and hair done in different corners. But atleast I wouldn't be driving around all day, since I get pretty travel sick. And being sick over myself today of all days would not have gone down well.

Me and Linda took our seats infront of the nail palour and the chripy blonde from before came and sat opposite me.

"So, what colour would you like today?" She smiled

"Uh...I'm not really the nail type girl I don't know" I awkwardly laughed with my usual shoulder shrug

Why was I so awkward and not girly? Any other girl would know what colour they'd want just like that!

"Oh darling! Is this your first time getting your nails done?!" She shrieked

Why was this so not normal? Everyone in the salon directed their heads towards me, making my cheeks blush.

"Yeah" I laughed

"She's wearing a blue dress Carly, so why not the Sky blue shade?" Linda suggested

I was eager to see the colour.

"Oh what a good choice! I'll be right back darling" She smiled

Immediatley she scurried back into her chair and sat back infont of me before showing off a fake hand with the shade of blue on.

It was an exact match of my dress making me more excited to wear it. I nodded with enthusiam and she began sculpting on my nails. I was finally going to look like a girl!

COLES POV

Why did girls have to take so damn long getting ready? Me and Henry had already been out, had a trim, watched football and already gone through the remaining beers.

Summer had just her hair left to get done, but apparently I wasn't aloud to see her till the wedding, I'm sure this girl thinks it's actually hers!

But it did make me more eager to see her, I bet she looked stunning. I just hoped no other boys would see her, since the thought of her with another boy made my blood boil.

"You better start getting ready Cole, they'll be back soon and we need to be at the church before them, y'know how they are" Henry laughed

"Crazy" I nodded with a smile

"The only word to describe them" He agreed

Which was actually true.

I walked into our bedroom and was hit by the scent of Summer making me miss her more. I wasn't used to spending so much time away from her, and not to sound gay or anything, but it sucked.

I never thought I, Cole Chapman would end up missing someone!

Well, I'm happy that someone is Summer May.

I pulled my new suit out the cupboard and began undressing. I always hated doing ties, I could never get them damn right!

After many failed attempts, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in" I announced

Henry popped his head in, and he did look pretty impressive in his suit.

"Can't do your tie, son?" He laughed

I don't know why, but I couldn't help but smile when he called me son. I was happy that I got on so well with Summers family already, and her with mine. And him calling me son, made me feel like he accepted me.

"It is a challenge" I laughed

He walked over to me and began tieing it himself. I felt kinda...awkward. Summers Dad just inches from my face.

He finally done it and patted my shoulders while brushing over my suit.

"Look after her, won't you?" He finally sighed

I had never seen him so...serious.

"Always" I nodded

I understood him, he just wanted his daughter to be safe and protective, the same I'd be over mine.

"That's my lad" He nodded with a smile

I grinned at him assuring him that I'd always look after his daughter, no matter what.

"Now come on, let's go get me married"
