Steven
Connie and I were walking along the beach. She was able to spend the night tonight, so she came early. I didn't mind. I liked spending time with her.
I was holding a bucket and we were looking for seashells. Walking along the beach, I kept wondering how Lapis is doing. I wondered if she was still fused with Jasper.
The thought vanished out of my head when I say something laying by the rocks. It looked pink, and hurt, so I thought it could be a fish that washed up on the shore.
I was wrong.
It was a gem.
I dropped the bucket of shells.
"Steven?" Connie asked.
I ran to it.
"Steven?! What is it?!" Connie asked again, running after me.
"Gem!" Was all I could get out as I ran. I could see more of the figure. She was pink.
As I came up to the gem, I sat down on the beach beside where she was laying. Connie sat next to me.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
No response.
I shook her shoulder a little and asked again.
No response.
Then I saw her gem. It was on her right cheek.
It was cracked.
"We need to get her back to the Temple." I said.
"How?" Connie asked. "Her gem!"
"Bubble. I can put a bubble around her and we can roll her." I suggested.
"That might make her crack even worse. Hold on." She stood up. "I'll run back to the Temple and get the gems."
"Okay. I'll move her closer to the cliff so that the waves can't get to her. Then I'll wait for you to come back with them.
"Alright." Connie said, running off towards the Temple, grabbing the bucket as she got smaller and smaller in the distance.
"Hang in there. Please. It's alright."

As I got to the Temple, I ran up the steps two by two.
"Oh, hello Connie." Pearl greeted. She looked behind me. "Where's Steven?" She asked.
"On the beach...With a gem...Need...You guys." I said, out of breath. I set the bucket down by the door.
"Another gem?" Garnet asked.
"Where?!" Pearl asked, frantic.
"Down about a quarter of a mile that way." I pointed to my right. "We need to hurry."
"Why?" Amethyst asked.
"Her gem is cracked."
