Connie
I brought the gems to where Steven had found the gem.
"Over here." I pointed to where Steven was sitting on the beach.
"Steven!" Pearl shouted. He looked towards her, but didn't stand up. He stayed by the gem's side. Pearl sat down next to him as the rest watched from overhead.
"So, you found her here?" She asked.
"Yea. She's not responding, and her gem is cracked." Steven said.
"I see. We need to get her back to the Temple."
"Why don't I try to heal her gem first?" He asked.
"Go on." Garnet said.
Steven licked his hand and placed it on her gem. Her gem glowed a light pink, and then healed as the gems and Connie smiled.
There was a pause, waiting for her to wake up.
Nothing.
Then, her eye slowly opened.
Yes, she had only one eye.
"She's awake." Steven said.
Her eye was now open most of the way. Then she was startled by all of the people.
"Ah!" She said, sitting up quickly and backing away. She winced and took her one arm off of the sand and looked at it. She set it on her knees, which were flush up against her body, and looked back at the gems with a mixture of emotions on her face: confused, hurt, unknowing, and scared.
"Are you alright?" Steven asked, putting his hand out towards her. She closed her eye and moved her head to the side, scared of his movement. When she slowly opened her eye again, he put his hand on her arm.
She made a small squeak-like noise as she winced again.
"Sorry." Steven said, taking his hand off of her arm and moving a little closer to her.
"W...Who are you?" She said in a small, weak voice, rubbing her arm gently.
"I'm Steven, and these are my friends, Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Connie. And Peridot's back at the Temple."
"I-I'm Kunzite. Are you a gem, S-Steven?" She asked. Her voice was still small and weak.
"Yea." He said, lifting his shirt. Her eye widened.
"R-Rose Quartz?" He put his shirt back down, nodding.
"She gave up her form for me."
"Oh."
"We should get you back to the Temple." Steven said.
Steven put his hand towards her and she slowly took it with her left arm.
He helped her up and put his arm behind her back as she held her right arm in her other hand.
They exchanged looks as he nodded slightly. She nodded back as they started walking towards the Temple.
We all followed behind him
