I led Kunzite up the steps of the Temple and briefly let her go as I opened the door.

I helped her sit down on the couch.

"Here." I handed her a blanket. She tried to wrap it around her using both of her arms, but she quickly let go and grabbed her arm, gritting her teeth.

"Are you alright?" She looked up at me and slowly let go of her arm.

"Y-Yea. I'm fine."

"You aren't." I said, slowly reaching for her injured arm.

"I'm telling you, I'm fine! You can't heal me, Rose! You tried!" She yelled, tears in her eyes. Then she slowly corrected herself. "Steven."

There was a pause.

"I...I'm sorry." She said.

"Why did you call me 'Rose'? And why can't I heal you?" I asked. Pearl had accidentally called me 'Rose' before. It was when she was upset. So...was Kunzite upset?

She wiped away the tears with her good arm.

"I-I knew Rose Quartz back on Homeworld. She tried to heal me once, but it didn't work. She kept trying and trying, but it always had the same result. You shouldn't waste your powers on me."

"I want to help, Kunzite." I said, wrapping the blanket around her fully and draping it over her shoulders.

"You can't heal me." She said. "It needs time."

"We can give it time. And I have a good idea." I whispered to Connie and she nodded, leading me to the bag that her mom packed her.

She rummaged through the bag until she found what I needed.

"Thanks."

I walked back downstairs to Kunzite.

"This should help." I held it up to her. It was a wrapped Ace bandage with a few clips.

"I-If it will help."

"Steven?" Pearl asked.

"Yea?"

"Garnet says there's another gem mutant on the island."

"You guys can go. We'll be fine."

"Alright." Pearl said.

"Let's go. Steven, keep her safe." Garnet said.

As they warped away, I took off the clips to the bandage and set them on the table. I sat down next to Kunzite on the couch. I gently took her arm and began to wrap it. She winced every once in a while and I apologized.

"There." I said, grabbing the clips and putting them on the end.

"T-Thank you." She said, shivering.

"Cold?" I asked, setting her arm down on her lap.

"A little. My clothes got wet when I passed out on the beach."

"One sec."

I ran upstairs and grabbed a shirt and a pair of pants. I handed them to her.

"I don't think that they'll fit you that well, but it will do while I can wash your clothes."

"Okay."

"Here." I took the blanket off and lead her to the bathroom to change.

"Hand me your clothes when you're done, okay?"

"O-Okay."

I closed the bathroom door and sat down on the couch.
