Marshall Pov

Marceline; my cousin invited me to her friend's bother coronation, of course I denied it until she told who it was for. Barnaby Gumball brother of Princess Bubblegum ruler of the candy kingdom in Ooo. When I found out it was for him, I longed to see him.

As I floated home after the episode with me and Barnaby, I started to remember when I first started to fall for him, three weeks ago to exact.

I was sitting on my couch playing my guitar laying whatever inspired me, when all of a sudden a brick came flying though my window. "What the!" I shouted jumping off from my couch to inspect the vandalism that had been done. When I got I floated to where the brick had landed; a note was tied to it.

Dear Marshall,

I did it this time I finally got my beloved come to the Ice kingdom so you can play at the ceremony.

"Simone." I sighed shaking my head, I throw the note away, looked outside "Hmm dark, must have did when he was asleep or about to go to sleep." I went upstairs and changed into my normal attire grey tank top, red and black plaid button up, skinny jeans, and black converse. I didn't grab my guitar because there really wasn't a point in doing so.

While I was flying I stopped by Fi's house to give her the news so she could take care of it. Yet, she seemed busy as she and cake where fighting off some weird pervert guy who shared a resemblance to Ice queen. 'Strange' I thought to myself as I continued my way to the Ice kingdom. Once there I entered the Icey home, ""Yo, Simone I got your message where are you!" I called out, but no sign of her. "S-she's not here." I heard someone choke out. When saw who was my heart sank (If I could feel my heart); Barnaby, he was frozen in place in his P.j's. I than floated towards the cell that he was held captured in "Oh, really guess there's no reason for me here than." (What I'm I saying) I then turned around floating away. "Wait! You're not going to help me!?" He called after me, 'Man, he must be really scared of Simone I mean yeah she's crazy... but she's not crazy crazy'. I than raised up my hand, giving him a rock symbol "Nah, I think Fionna and Cake are on their way." 'Right?' I asked myself as I head towards the door from where I entered to leave.

When Ice queen suddenly popped up out of nowhere pushing me out the way making me fall on the cold floor with a thud. "Ow!" I winced, Ice queen then walked towards me apologizing for pushing me down before turning towards Barnaby, with a devilish smile. "Finally," she breathed out "We'll be together." When I heard her voice, I knew what her intentions were. With her back turned I turned invisible a waited until she notices my absence and goes to find someone else to perform at their 'wedding'. Barnaby was sat down on ice queen thrown, once she finally left; still invisible I floated towards him. Man he looked so vulnerable and exposed when he curled up into a ball to stay warm

When I was by him, he looked up; not knowing how close I was to him. He seemed like he was looking for something; looking for me. "Looking for me." I said making him jump back in the thrown 'Cute' I thought to myself as he gave off a blush. "He he, I'm just meson see no harm done." I laughed while turning visible floating on my back. "Marshall honestly." he huffed he seemed angry, 'geez it was just a joke' "Honestly, what," I spat back "Is that the way you talk to your rescuer?" I floating towards him making him blush slightly more, I then grabbed his wrist and pulled him up. His warm skin was so warm anymore and my cold hands weren't helping. Once up he slipped on ice falling onto me, his head rested on my chest, I gripped onto him so I could help him up; part of me didn't want to. "Cute." I mumbled, when I realized I said that out loud I carefully separated us apart. "L-let's go before Ice queen comes back." I stuttered out.

Once home I floated upstairs, not bothering to change out of clothes I laid across my bed. Barnaby's voice echoed in my head, his rage in his voice. I have 'three hours tell the party' I mentally reminded myself, I closed my eyes and started to fall asleep until someone slammed my door front door open yelling for me to wake up. "Marshall Come on we don't want to be late or Bonnibel well be-!" "Alright, alright just let me sleep for three hours and we'll go." I interrupted. With a huff she walked over to were my alarm clock sat and through it at me.

"What the heck is wrong with you Marci-?! "

"Check the time."

"What?!"

"Check the freak 'in clock Marshall" she yelled at me, pointing at the clock that she through. "Fine." I sighed when I picked up the clocked at faced it towards me I jumped off the bed shocked at what time it was.

'6:00' I mouthed

"Yeah, 6 freak 'in clock in the afternoon."

"It was three when I went to sleep." I said in protest, "Guess you got your three hours of sleep." She mocked walking over to my closest were my clothes hung. "Here." She through at mea red button up shirt, and black suit jacket with pants. "You pick out your shoes but hurry up." She said impatiently before walking back downstairs.

I did what I was I told and put on the outfit she picked and went down stairs. She was on the phone trying to calm down Bonnibel and explain to her why we were arriving late. When she noticed me walking down stairs she tried to end the conversation in reassurement and empty promises. "Come on before Bonnie calls back." She mumbled walking out the house.

I stood out in the door way, hesitantly walking out of my home.
