"Merry Christmas Granger,"

Hermione took the package from Draco and opened it up. There lay a beautiful necklace. It had red garnets on it, her favourite.

"Draco, I - I don't know what to say..."

"Then don't say anything, you don't need to. I just saw it and thought of you. Adventourous, but elegant. My favourite."

She smiled up at him ad then loked around the room they were sat in. It was the Head's Common room. She and Malfoy had been allocated it at the beginning of the year.

It wasn't all bad though. The pair had gotten off to a good start. Very civil towards each other, they actually had a lot in common.

"I also... Have another gift for you."

"You do realise I literally got you nothing..." Hermione replied with a shy grin.

"That doesn't matter. "
Draco shuffled closer to Hermione and began to lean in.
"Merry Christmas Gran-"

"Hermione!"

There stood George Weasley holding something in his hands.
"Dad sent me to give you this. Well it's not from Dad. And he knows nothingn about it. But he let me come to Hogwarts to give it to you." Hermione abruptly stood up and looked at Draco's, slightly sad face.

"What is it?" She asked with the upmost curiosity.

"It's from Fred..."

Hermiones heart sank. She took the package from George and opened it.
There lay a picture of her and Fred on the evening of Fluer and Bill's wedding. They were both so madly in love. Hermione couldn't have imagined her life without him. But then, Fred....

My dearest Hermione,

Wow. That was cheesy. I love you 'Mione I really do. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. That's why I'm writing this letter. In case I don't make it. You see, I'd always known you were the one for me, ever since fourth year. You were so gorgeous in that dress.
Okay Hermione I'm going to jump straight to the point.
Tonight (Fluers wedding) I was going to ask you... To marry me. But just in case I didn't make it, I gave the ring to George, for safekeeping.
I love you, always and forever.

Hermione fell to the ground with tears rushing down her face. Draco instantly ran over and held her close to him.

"Hermione," George walked over with the ring in his hand. It was a silver ring with a diamond gemstone in the middle. Fred always made sure he got the best.

"Thank you..." She smiled up at George. They both loved Fred in the same way. As a brother, a best friend but ultimately something much more than that. Fred was theirs to keep
Forever.

"How about the extra gift then Hermione?"

Draco leaned forward with his eyes slightly closed, only to meet with her entering her own room, with the tears still streaming down her face.

Okay it's slightly anti Dramione. But oh well.
