25 | perfect

Hermione was laid on the floor, with blood seeping from her wounds. It was how he found her. Dracos first instinct was to turn and walk away - know one would know he'd ever been there.
But the closer he looked at her, the more intrigued he was. Her scarring was different to what he'd ever seen before. They didn't look spontaneous. They looked as though they'd been placed, purposely.

Hermiones head stirred. It brought him back to his senses. He had to do something.

Take her to the hospital wing.

He heard Blaise's voice in his head. He had to do something, anything. Putting his arms around her petite body, he slowly lifted her;she weighed the same as his broom.

"No."
The words left her mouth in a whisper - the sort that left a frosty air in its wake.

"What? What do you want me to do? Take you to the common room?"

Hermione's head did a slight nod, before she was consumed by darkness.

Draco had never realised how beautiful Granger really was until that moment. She was lying on his bed in his dorm. It was the seventh year and he was the only Slytherin boy in his year except Blaise to return. Hit he didn't really think Blaise would mind.

Draco's eyes travelled to the large gaping wound on Hermione's lower abdomen. He just couldn't quite put his finger on it.

The wound, however, needed to be cleaned. And he, Draco Malfoy would have to do it.

Taking an old damp shirt, he wiped away the blood from her body. But the more he wiped, the paler he grew. The wounds had been done on purpose, and they were spelling out something.

There was an r in the centre where he had begun to wipe. And then on either side there were to other letters. An e and a f.

And when he was done, he could read the word perfectly.

The word imperfect was written perfectly across her stomach, and that made Draco see red.
