"This is so boring."

It was Christmas Eve. Normally, most people would put up their Christmas tree earlier in the month, leading the way to the big day. But a certain Slytherin had been putting the idea off.

"What is your problem?! I have been waiting all month to do this,; can you just be quiet whilst i use my time to do what I enjoy?!" Hermione snapped.

"Granger. Literally we've been at this for hours. And all you've done is decide on the colour combination." He was laid on the couch staring at her back. Her hair was cascading down her back, waving with different colours of hazel and gold.

"For goodness sake Draco lighten up a bit." She was plainly sick of his behavior. She had tried to be nice to him. And Merlin, that wasn't easy.
"And it hasn't been hours! One at the most!"

"Sweet Merlin." He sighed dramatically, before rising and leaning on the door frame.

"Just go! Just go away then if you don't want to stay!" She was so bloody sick of him. He just came in here, acting like she was his slave! She even made him breakfast! and he couldn't let her have this one little thing.

"There's nothing to do without you..." 

She couldn't hep but let her heart warm at that statement. He'd been doing that a lot lately. Saying things that made her insides turn to jelly. NO matter what he did, what he said made her feel different.

"Fine. I'll stop." 

She sighed. It wasn't worth it anyway. Christmas was tomorrow and she couldn't put up the tree before she would be falling asleep on her feet. 

"just go to bed." She pushed past him by the door, knocking his shoulder to the side. She looked so sad, so empty.

But when she awoke the next morning, a certain Slytherin was fast asleep on the couch, tinsel covering his face and a bauble hanging from his finger tips. She smiled. It must have been Christmas.
