"Nice of you two to finally join us." Mr. Roland sent Liss and I a glare as we entered the room.

"We're really sorry Sir, we got lost." Liss was quick to apologise.

I glanced around the room at our class mates; most of them had bored, barely amused expressions on their faces. When my gaze landed on Calum, who was sitting in the back of the room, I couldn't help but roll my eyes. He was pulling all of these ridiculous faces, most likely trying to get me into even more trouble.

Off to his left Ashton was trying – and failing – to hide his phone from our teacher and send a message; and to his right, Mikey was sat grinning widely at me.

"Don't let it happen again." Mr. Roland snapped. "Now, take a seat. But don't get too comfortable because we're about to partner up."

I suppressed a groan along with everyone else in the room. For some reason, Mr. Roland insisted on picking our partners for us when we worked in pairs. It seemed to have escaped his notice that we were all old enough to pick our own by now.

"I won't happen again, I promise. We're really sorry." Liss apologised once again before elbowing me sharply in the side.

"Yeah, uh, sorry." I mumbled and then headed towards our friends at the back of the room.

I took the empty desk next to Ashton and Liss dropped down into the seat in front of mine, like always.

"Ash, you're the least subtle person I know. You may as well just hand over your phone." I sent him a quick smile.

His eyes widened slightly before he put his phone away altogether, abandoning whatever conversation he had been in the middle of.

"How the hell did you two manage to get lost?" Calum asked with a smirk, he probably already knew the answer.

"We didn't." Liss told him, sending me a glare that bordered on playful but was probably completely serious. "Rae was having a smoke."

"That's my girl." Mikey responded, joining in on the conversation for the first time.

Ashton frowned at me before looking over to Michael. "You really shouldn't encourage her, you know."

"If she didn't look so damn good doing it, I might agree with you Ash." I leaned across Ashton to punch Calum in the arm for that comment. "What are you punching me for? I just complimented you. Jesus, you're hard to please."

Liss rolled her eyes at the two of us; this wasn't exactly a rare occurrence. "Your relationship is so strange."

"There is no relationship." Calum said, wiggling his eyebrows (which made him look ridiculous). "It's just sex."

I punched him again. "Yeah, right. You wish Hood."

He smirked and sent me an over-exaggerated wink. "You know I do."

"You guys are disgusting." Ashton rolled his eyes and out of the corner of my eyes I saw Liss nod in agreement.

"Maybe we should just fuck and get it over with." Calum suggested and I smirked at him just to make Ashton uncomfortable.

"Never." I told him with the sweetest smile I could manage.

"Why are you never like this when Luke is around, by the way?" Liss asked. "He never believes me when I tell him."

"You talk to your brother about us?"

"We can't say stuff like this in front of Luke, he's pure." Calum and I replied at the same time.
