Chapter 11

**Nina's POV**

I was pulled from my thoughts by my phone ringing. I don't recognize the number but I answer anyway. "Hello?" I say. "Hi I'm looking for Ian but I guess he changed his number." a female voice says. "Who is this?" I ask not recognizing the voice. "Oh, It's Nikki Reed." "Okay...Why are you looking for Ian?" "I want to tell him I got the divorce papers and I'm not signing them yet." She says. "Well he doesn't want to talk to you." I say. "I thought maybe you could talk to him for me." Nikki says. "Um, I'm not getting in the middle of your problems, Why not call his lawyer or yours?" I say. "well I'm working in Atlanta, So I need the Atlanta house." She says. "Excuse me? This house was never even yours! Ian and I bought this house years before we broke up." I say. "I know that, but I still want it and I can and will make your lives a living hell in the media if I don't get it." Nikki says and hangs up the phone.

Now, I'm pissed. We've been keeping quiet about my pregnancy. I'm not sure Nikki even knows. I know we can't keep it quiet forever. I will have a baby bump eventually. So what could she possibly have on Ian and I that could make our lives a living hell as she put it. I have to talk to Ian. I'm still feeling awkward about that kiss though. We were acting. It was Elena and Damon kissing but it was so real. There was so much passion and heat between us during that kiss. What did it all mean. Ian ran off afterward. Was he pissed at me? I decide I need to tell him about Nikki before even bringing up the kiss. That''s more important anyway. I hear the front door open and look up to see Ian walking in.

He looks at me with his signature smirk and sparkling blue eyes. "Sorry I ran off earlier." Ian says.  "Um,yeah we will talk about that later." I say. "Are you okay?" Ian says. "Nikki called my phone." I tell him. "What, when?" He says sounding shocked. "Just a few minutes ago." I say. "Why would she call you?" Ian says. "You changed your number remember?" I remind him. "What did she want?" he asks. "To tell you she 's not singing the divorce papers because she want's this house." I say gesturing around the house.

**Ian's POV**

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around what Nina just said. Why in the world would Nikki want this house. This house is mine and Nina's. The only reason Nikki stayed here was because Nina let me have the house since she was leaving Atlanta. There's no way she's getting the house. "She's not getting this house. It's our house." I tell Nina. "She says if she doesn't get the house she'll make our lives a living hell using the media." Nina says. "Oh i'd love to see her try." I say. Nina thinks for a moment. "Does she have anything on you?" she asks. "Nope, absolutely nothing." I say "But that doesn't mean she won't make up something."  "Like what?" Nina ponders. "I don't know, but she better not touch you or ISF." I say. Nina and ISF are the two things I care most about in this world aside from my parents and brother and sister. Oh, crap, I completely forgot, Nikki has access to ISF including ISF's bank account. I need to call Kim Klinger and Have her revoke Nikki's access. "I need to call Kim." I tell Nina. "Kim Klinger?" Nina says. "Yup, I completely forgot to remove Nikki's access to ISF's accounts."

"That's not good at all." Nina says as I pull up Kim on speed dial. "Hey Ian." Kim answers. "Hey Kim, I need you to remove Nikki from ISF's accounts ASAP." I say. "I thought you did that already." Kim says. "I got all caught up with Nina and forgot all about it." I say. "Okay, then, I'll do it now. I will also check to see if she took anything." Kim says. "Call me back and let me know." I say.

I turn back to Nina, "Neens I'm sorry Nikki got you caught up in all this." I say.  "It's not your fault. I just wonder how she got my number." Nina says. "I don't know but we're changing it." I say. I had my number changed when I filed for divorce. I didn't want to talk to Nikki and I still don't. Everything would be handled by our lawyers. Nina suddenly lets out an Oomph. "You okay?" I ask. "I'm fine, the baby's kicking." She says. Nina takes my hand a places it on her abdomen. The baby gives a swift kick and I grin. "I can't believe it Neens!" I say. "Amazing isn't it?" she says. This is the moment that it finally hits me. I'm going to be a dad and it's Nina, the woman who I will always love who is the mother. "Yeah,It is pretty amazing." I say. We sit there and just feel the baby kicking. My phone rings. I pick it up and check the caller ID, not really wanting to talk to anyone while Nina and I are having a moment. It's Kim Klingler so I have to answer. 

"Kim! What's up?" I say. "Sorry to bother you Ian, but I have some bad news." Kim says and I feel my heart hit the floor. "Tell me." I say. "I removed Nikki from the accounts, but I'm afraid we were to late." Kim says. "What are you talking about?" I say starting to get anxious. "Nikki already withdrew three quarters of ISF's money." Kim says. I'm glad I'm sitting down because i would've sunk to the floor. I keep it together long enough to tell Kim I'll get my lawyer on it. Nikki will be forced to give the money back. In the mean time all I can do is hope she doesn't spend it.

**Nina's POV**

As soon as Ian hangs up the phone, the tears come. Yes, Ian cries. Ian Is and has always been very emotional. I scoot close to him and wrap my arms around him. "My dream, she stole my dream." He says. "That money was going to build ISF's sanctuary." "And we'll get it back , your lawyers will see to that." I say. "Nikki's probably spending it, we will end up getting some of it back." Ian says. "Some of it is better then none of it." I say. "Yeah, but no one will donate once they find out their donations were stolen." Ian counters. "Ian look at me" I say. He does and I continue., "We will get through this! We always get through everything that life throws at us." "Except, when I threw marriage at you." Ian grimaces. "I was wrong to walk away." I said.  "That's over, that's the past. Neens? Thank you for being here now. Thank you for having our baby and not doing what Nikki did." Ian says.
