Channing is still being distant, but he's here.

He's being clingy, but he isn't talking much.

Every time somebody asks him what's wrong, he just tells them nothing, even when I ask him.

It's after dinner though, and I'm sitting on the couch and the kids are all playing hide and go seek.

Channing has his arms wrapped around me so tightly, it's almost hard tto breathe, and he's liteally laying on top of me.

People think girls are the only ones who like cuddling, but Channing is so cuddly all the time.

His face is in my boobs, which isn't weird for us because he always does this.

"What's wrong?" I ask him again.

Everyone looks over at us, hoping he's going to answer.

"Nothing." He says.

"Channing, you promised."

He tightens his arms around me, burrowing closer.

"I just don't wanna say it."

It's because everyone is here.

His mother is still pissed at him. She's been giving him the cold shoulder all day.

It's making everyone tense.

Mrs. Knight scoffs loudly.

She's never angry, but she's just pissed lately at him.

He's getting mad. It's been pissing him off all day.

He sits up. "What?" he demands. "What did I do? I haven't done anything!"

I bite my lip.

She stands up.

"We need to talk." She hisses.

"Yeah, say whatever you need to say."

"Not here." She says, livid.

"It's here or nowhere." He says.

"Married or not, father or not, grown or not, you're still my son, and you're going to respect me. Now get up."

He sighs loudly and gets up, following her to the dining room.

The dining room is right off the kitchn. We can see right into the kitchen from the living room, but we can't see into the dining room.

We can still hear everything though, and everyone is kinda nosy.

The kids even stop their game to listen.

CHANNING'S POV

Last time Mom got mad at me was when she found that weed in my room, and that wasn't even my fault.

So, when she turns on me in the dining room, I can't help but feel nervous.

"Channing Connor William Knight, what the fuck is your problem!"

Oh shit, she's loud.

Everyone can hear her.

"What?" I ask.

"You are unbelievable, Channing." She's shaking her head.

"Mom, what the hell did I do?" I demand.

She glares at me.

"You left." She says.

I sigh.

"Mom,"
