AARON'S POV
Cam can be so dramatic sometimes.
She knows she can be. She's been whimpering in her sleep since eleven.
I can't sleep because of it.
I keep trying to wake her up, but she just mumbles I want Channing.
And then she goes back to sleep.
She's doing it again.
I shake her shoulder roughly.
"I just want Channing!" she cries.
She's still asleep.
I'm sleeping on a twin size bed and the three kids are in a queen.
I can't fucking sleep and she's really upset.
I get up and open the front door.
Channing is sitting outside the door.
He looks up at me when I open the door.
"She's been crying in her sleep for hours and she keeps saying I want Channing every time I try to wake her up."
He looks exhausted, but he stands up and walks into the room.
He puts his phone on the charger, and Cam's, and then he climbs right into bed with her.
She lets out another whimper.
He shakes her shoulder.
"Stop it! I want Channing!"
CHANNING'S POV
She's actually crying now, and I know she's awake, but she rolls over.
"Aaron, can you get Channing for me?" she chokes out. "Please?"
"I already did. He's sitting right next to you." He says.
She reaches over and feels for something.
I give her my hand.
She moves her fingers along my fingers until she hits the wedding band that I wear proudly on my left hand forefinger.
She tugs at my hand.
"I'm going back to bed." Aaron sighs.
"Alright. Thank you...for getting me."
"Anytime." He says.
He lays back down on his bed. I lay down next to Cam.
"Channing, I'm sorry! It was just too much at the time and I was a bitch! I'm sorry! I don't know how we're going to cut off all the family ties!"
"Wait, what?" Aaron asks.
Shit.
Cam's grip on my hand tightens.
"You want to cut off all the family ties?"
Cam rolls over and sits up.
"Yes." she says.
"But if you don't want to, of course, we won't."
"it's not permanent!" Cam adds quickly, hiccupping.
She's still upset.
He seems to think about it for a while, and then he nods.
"Alright. I think it'll be good for us. What about Anna?"
"Well, except her."
He nods. "Okay, alright." He nods. "We can do that. Please try to be quiet. I'm exhausted."
