CHANNING'S POV

I'm starting to panic that she just took the truck and drove it off a fucking cliff with her in it, and it's ten at night, and I'm pacing everywhere and panicking, when my phone starts ringing on the counter.

I snatch it up and everyone looks up with hope.

It's not Cam, but it's a random number.

"Hello?" I hold my breath.

"Hi, is this Channing Knight, the husband of Camilla Knight?"

"Yes." I say.

She's dead.

I know she's dead.

Oh my god, I can't even think.

My baby.

"I'm calling to let you know that your wife has been admitted to Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehab."

Fuck.

"Okay..."

"She's not doing too well. She talking to the nurses about her situation, and her wrists are bandaged. Unfortunately, we don't let people visit patients unless it's a major holiday, like Thanksgiving or Christmas."

"What?" I ask. "Why not?"

"It can affect their healing process."

CAM'S POV

I hate Channing so much.

I fucking hate him.

Have you ever hated somebody so much that the thought of their pain makes you happy?

That's how much I hate him.

My entire body is hot.

I flushed both wedding rings down the toilet.

My blood is boiling at the thought of him.

That fucking prick got me locked up.

What the fuck was I thinking, marrying him?

If I could break out of here, I would fucking kill him.

When I get released, I'm going to fucking kill him.

I'm not kidding.

I just got to this fucking rehab and they keep asking me questions.

CHANNING'S POV

I'm worried about Cam.

It's been a month since she got admitted.

I'm taking care of the kids and the whole family comes here frequently.

I call the rehab every day to check on her, and they won't give me any information.

<><>

It's been three months now. My baby is still sick.

They won't let me see her for Thanksgiving.

Everyone misses her.

<><>

It's April ninth.

They refused to let me see her for the holidays.

I'm starting to get really depressed.

I fucking miss my wife.

She's been gone for seven months.

The snow is dried and it's early spring. It's still chilly outside but the grass is green and the plants are growing back.

Annabell found a boyfriend and Aaron found a girlfriend, and a best friend.
