Ruby's P.O.V
As we approach the front gate to the city my father comes in to view waiting for us. Coming to a stop right in front of him, my father's smile grows wider as his eyes move back and forth between Legolas and I. I swear he is up to something!
" so I see you two have met? Good to see you again Legolas!" My father states as he engulfs legolas in a hug. I try my best not to laugh at his reaction but fail and almost fall over in a fit of girly giggles. Suddenly out of nowhere Arwen appears scaring me half to death. (haha get it! XD )
"There you are ruby come on we must go get you ready for tonight! Hurry up!" She yells impatiently at me pulling me with her back to the palace leaving my horse and bow behind.Once we get to my room she shoves me into a bath to clean my hair and get the dirt off of me so I look "perfect". I just sit in there, for there is nothing more I can do but let her do her thing. ( ugh I don't like big sisters!) I think as she pours another pale of water over my head causing my hair to fall and stick to my face. I let out a large huff in frustration, only to receive a thump to the back of my head. Arwen now throws a cloth at me telling me to " wash your body I will be back in a couple minutes ,and if You're not clean by then You're going to be in a whole ton of trouble!"
Once she was out of view I start scrubbing my dust covered body with the cloth as fast as I could so I wouldn't get "in trouble".I finish just as Arwen walks back in with a nice, warm, and dry towel to wrap myself in. I step out of the bathtub while Arwen's eyes are shut, and her hand extending out lightly gripping the towel In which I will wrap up in. I gently grab the warm and fluffy towel out of her slender fingers. Pressing the soft and warm fabric to my goose bumped body. I sigh with pleasure brought on by the warm sensation of the towel on my cool skin.
" I'm decent now. You can open your eyes." I inform Arwen. ( yeah I know I'm in only a towel but that is considered decent in family-family situations like this, but only if the two are of the same gender!)
As her eyes gradually open they scan the skin that is not covered by the towel insuring that I am squeaky clean. She is about to turn away when her soft and happy expression suddenly explodes into one of fear, anger, and annoyance at the sight of something on my left shin. I begin to get curious at what is there, so I look not expecting anything but a spot that I missed or something to that extent. Investigating the shin in question I find that I have quite a large abrasion that is oozing Crimson blood.
"Well then, how did that happen?" I ponder the thought out loud. I fail to think of the cause to my injury. Putting the question to the back of my brain. I stroll over to my desk and gather some bandage and ointment. I ungracefully even plop down on my bed,and tend to my leg.Finishing up with that Arwen attacks my hair with a hairbrush, tugging and pulling to undo the tangles. It's not as bad as it was this morning, but still badly tangled. Maybe the horse ride wasn't a good idea.
I stand up twirling around to face Arwen, and see she has a cheeky little smile on her face. Her face scrunched up with happiness as she has brought out a heavenly dress. I cup my hands over my mouth to muffle the squeals that are escaping from it.
The dress is a beautiful intricate lavender and purple ball gown. The skirt piece has just a touch of beading on the bottom front portion, with layer of different shades of purple fabric. Then there is the corset top the has the beading on the top and bottom edge, along with in the middle of the chest area. The silvery beading goes wonderfully with the purple and lavender fabric. Holy cow don't get me started on the sleeve thingies, purple sheer fabric that goes from mid bicep to the floor, and the same beading as the rest of the dress on rich purple fabric. Just so I don't over do the outfit I go with simple lavender flats, and do my hair into loose curls and bring back the sides and braid them in the back of my head. Adding my tiara to the top. I don't believe in make up so Arwen doesn't force me to wear any.
"I am going to get ready now. Please don't mess any thing up before I come back!" Arwen scolded as she walks towards the door.
