Chapter two

Adriens POV
The limo stopped outside the walk way into school allowing me to exit; stepping out of the car I waved to the driver and continued to walk to the school stairs. I walked into school this morning wondering where Marinette was as I bumped into someone. Alya turned around with her normal smirk until it softened into a smile.

"Hey Adrien, have you seen Marinette?" she asked looking around.

"I was gonna ask you the same thing" I said sheepishly as I scratched the back of my head.

"Did you hear about her encounter?" she asked wiggling her eyebrows in a hinting matter.

"Encounter?" I asked looking at her as she started tapping on her phone.

"She was visited by non-other the Chat Noir last night! Her mum sent me this picture and asked me to get all the juice" she exclaimed quietly making sure no one else heard, showing me a picture on her phone of the two standing close together. I smiled at the picture as we walked towards the classroom looking for Marinette. By the time we got there the bell rang and everyone went to their seats. The teacher started on our French class, talking about our upcoming assignment we were doing in pairs.

"The pairs are:

-          Nathanael and Juleka

-          Chloe and Sabrina

-          Alya and Nino

-          Adrien and-" before she could finish Marinette busted through the door out of breath.

"Sorry... I'm late miss!" she said trying to catch her breath.

"Well you came at the right time, as I was saying Marinette you can be paired off with Adrien" our teacher said as she continued to finish off the pairings. I waved to Marinette before she sat down and she just giggled sheepishly.

Marinettes POV

I sat down next to Alya whilst her hands where crossed, a frown planted on her face.

"I'm sorry I was late" I said to her but she just she rolled her eyes. She held her phone to my face, showing a picture of Chat and I in my room, really close.

"He um... wanted to check -" I tried to explain with a blush on my face before she cut me off with a squeal making the whole class now turned towards us.

"Sorry!" She apologised scratching the back of her head. The teacher continued to talk and everyone went back to normal but I could see Adrien sneak glimpses our way.

"So you like him?" Alya asked making me blush even more then I already am.

"N-no way" I tried convincing her but it wasn't working.

"Do you think you could get me an interview?" she asked with hope in her eyes.

"M-maybe if you stop asking me questions" I said trying to get her off my back.

"Okay fine, but this pic is going on my website" she giggled and posted the picture before I could stop her. Beeps were heard throughout the room and everyone accessed their phones, even the teacher! They all turned to look at me and I sunk in my seat, hoping that they would look away and not care about the photo but to no avail. Chloe walked over to me and everyone else followed intrigued about the photo.

"So you know Chat?" Chloe asked pretending that she didn't care. I only nodded and she squealed, causing me to block my ears.

"Does he talk about me? Do you know ladybug? Did she tell you how close we are? Omg do you know their secret identities?!" She asked excitedly as she screamed the last part.

"Yes, Yes, no and I have an idea" I said regretting the last part.

"What?!" Alys and Adrien asked as they shot up out of their seats causing the class to look at them. Adrien blushingly sunk back into his seat but Alya just shook me excitedly.

"How do I not know these things?" she asked as I gain a head ache. I looked around thinking about something to say that won't give their identities away.

"W-well I didn't get a chance to because they... only saved me yesterday! That's why I had a cold and didn't come to school. I was on my way to school when I fell into the icy cold water and Ladybug pulled me out with her yo-yo and returned me home. We talked for a bit and she explained that she had just finished a mission with Chat and that's why he was with me last night, to see if I was ok!" I said cheerily and Alya typed the whole story excitedly as everyone went back to their seat with disappointed faces.

"I thought you knew their secret identities?" Adrien asked leaning over and whispered to me. A blush covered my face but I soon calmed down.

"Not really, that's why their called secrets" I said in a hush voice winking at him, causing him to... Blush?! Alya was giggling beside me as she watched the whole thing.

"Ok class, I expect you to work on this assignment in your own time. Its due in two weeks so make it good" the teacher said as class was dismissed. On the way out of the classroom I was stopped as a hand grabbed mine.

"Meet me at mine this afternoon after school" Adrien said with a smile causing me to melt in his gaze.

"Okay"
