Chapter five

Marinettes POV
I ran as fast as I could to get to school. Once I got there I bumped into Alya who was shocked at how early I was.

"Girl where have you been?! You look like you got hit by a bus" she said the last part disgusted as she inspected my clothes and hair.

"I was at Adriens" I said before my hands could reach my mouth to stop me.

"What?!" She yelled as she shook my shoulders.

"It's n-not a b-big deal. Isleptoverandsawhimwithhisshirtoff, he was so cute!" I hurriedly said hoping she wouldn't understand what I was saying, but she got every word.

"What?! When were you gonna tell me this is so big I can't believe it! I need detail!" She exclaimed as she jumped up and down, holding my hands.

"W-w-well we-" I was cut off by a familiar figure walking up the stairs.

"Mari you forgot your bag" Adrien said confidently as he walked over to us.

"A-A-Adrie, huh hi how to today you? I mean how today you to? Ahh I mean what's up?" I asked with an awkward laugh as I tried to "act natural".

"Haha yeah I'm good, here you left this at mine this morning" he said handing me my bag, getting the attention of a certain blond.

"Adrikens, why was she at your house? Was she stalking you again?" She asked battering her eyes as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"No I had to do an assignment" I grumbled only to be ignored.

"I'm sure you only put up with her to make me jealous but you don't need to! Come on class is about to start" she said as she pulled him away.

"I can't believe her" Alya said rolling her eyes as we walked to class. We sat down at our seats and waited for the teacher.

"Ah!" I heard a scream from across the building.

"That's sounded like our teacher!" Rose yelled worried.

"Everyone needs to get out now" Alya said as she ran to the door.

"Alya wait!" I yelled and ran after her.

"Marinette!" I heard Adrien yell as a hand pulled me back, a locker smashing into where I was about to stand.

"T-thanks" I stuttered as I moved away from him. I turned back and lost track of Alya. This isn't good.

Adriens POV
Once Marinette let go of me she ran off after Alya.

"Damn it. Plagg lets transform" I said as I ran into the bathroom and let the little cat like kwami out of my jacket.

"Why? Are you scared for your princess?" He asked with a smirk.

"Plagg transform me!" I yelled ignoring the black cat.

"Okay let's go" I said as I left the bathroom. I ran out onto the stair wells too find the students evacuating the building. I jumped down to Alya with a bow. I looked up to find Marinette not with her.

"Where's Marinette?" I asked as I looked up surprised not to see her here with Alya.

"She's over there with Nathaniel" she said pointing to Marinette who was... Holding his hand?! Why is she blushing?!

"Come on Marinette lets-" Nathaniel started but I interrupted.

"Good morning princess, may I help you?" I asked as I picked her up in my arms bridle style.

"Don't you have a job to do?" She asked  poking my nose.

"My only jobs is to keep you safe, milady~"  I cooed and took her away from Nathaniel. What am I doing? I asked myself as I put Marinette down.

"Stay safe okay?" I asked as I ushered her out of the building, the rest of our classmates following close behind.

"Chat! Wait I can't see Adrien" she said walking back inside.

"Ah I'm sure he's fine, he um he already left" I said trying to get her out.

"Okay but be careful" she said as I once again pushed her out.

"Come on, how many trouble can this kitty get in?" I asked with a smile. As I did so, a plant vine wrapped around my legs and tighten its grip. I looked down at it and back to Marinette with a smile before getting pulled away.

Marinettes POV
Stupid kitty
