Chapter eight

Adriens POV
Damn she just won't quit! I mentally yelled at myself as I growl at the enemy in front of us. With one swift move, she jumped into the air and disappeared.

"Where did sh-" I began but was cut off by a shriek.

"Hey let go!" Marinette yelled as Volpina grabbed her by her shirt and whisked her into the air.

"Love to stay and chat my Adrien but we have a... Job to finish" she said snarling at Marinette.

"Wait, Mari!" I yelled as Volpina and her disappeared into the sky.

"Plagg now!" I yelled as I ran after her.

"But I'm-" he began but I didn't take much care to his complaints. I looked around to see a small ally way, big enough for me to transform in.

"Plagg, transform me!" I yelled as the cat like kwami got sucked into my ring.

Marinettes POV
I was carried by Volpina to an abandoned warehouse, it is a lot cosier than I thought it would be.

"Now Marinette, I'm going to make you pay for embarrassing me" she said with an evil smirk that made me just roll my eyes.

"Yeah yeah just hurry up, I was having an important conversation with Adrien that I would like to finish soon" I say sounding a bit like Chloe.

"Don't speak to her like that!" A voice said that sounded way to familiar for my liking. Ladybug?! I questioned as I saw her jump into the room.

"Ah~ Milady, nice of you to join us" Chat said walking up to her.

"Ch-" I tried to say but a cloth quickly found itself around my mouth and my hands got tied up at my back, holding me to a wall.

"Chat! What are you doing here?" She asked with a blank expression, giving the feeling that she's bored.

"Milady? Are you okay?" Chat asked concerned for who he thought was his partner.

"Ladybug, fetch" was all Volpina said before Ladybug attacked Chat Noir.

"Ladybug?!" Chat tried calling out to her to try and reason but to no avail. She kept swinging her yo yo and knocking him down. He needs to know it's not her! I thought but I felt useless tied up. Suddenly Chat got knocked to the ground, Ladybug sitting on him as she over powered him.

"Well this was fun Kitty but I gotta go, you know, destroy stuff" Ladybug said as she got off and walked to Volpina.

"This isn't the end, Chat Noir, this is only the beginning" she said as she jumped out of the building with Volpina, leaving us behind.

"Marinette?! Are you okay?" Chat asked rushing to me, but I could tell his mind was on something else.

"I was the bait" I said as I watched Ladybugs retreating figure.

"I'll go after them" he said as he ran out before I got to tell him he was an illusion.

"Chat..."

Chats POV
I ran after Ladybug but I couldn't find her. That was until I heard a voice extend over the whole of Paris.

"Attention everyone! As of this day I will no longer be the Ladybug you will call on, no from now on I am the terror you'll be screaming from!" She yelled with a laugh, before throwing her yo yo to hit a building. As the building shook, parts of it crumbled to the floor and started heading for innocent victims.

"Damn" I mumbled as I jumped down there and swung my baton around, hitting the rubble away from them. When I looked back up, I couldn't find Volpina anywhere, all I saw was red.

Ladybugs POV
After transforming I swung out until I got to Volpina.

"You can't do this!" I said angrily as I watched Chat protect the citizens.

"I just did" she said before disappearing, the fake Ladybug going to.

"How could you!?" I heard Chat yell as he jumped onto the building, stomping up to me and pointing his finger.

"I-" before I could finish I saw the citizens bellow me yelling and cursing at the site of me. It wasn't me I thought as my eyes filled with tears.

"Paris doesn't need someone like you, your an ignorant little brat!" He said before turning to walk away, only to stop at the edge of the building. With the beep of his miraculous to tell him his times up, he turned and faced me.

"To think... I loved you" was all he left me with before jumping off and running away. C-chat?

Dun dun dun! Wow Chat why you so mean to her? Oh that's right, you don't know do you... Well I'll give you a spoiler for the next chapter.

I didn't know where to run to, she was the only one who knows both sides of me. She cared about Marinette and Ladybug, she's the only friend I have left
