CARMEN'S POV
I put Mrs. Vincent gently on the chair next to moms. Mental note, I will never tell my mom anything about my crushes anymore. She nearly blew it! Phew! "Let's sit," dad offered Larissa's little sister when they came in with Catherine. They took a seat next to Larissa and Catherine took hers next to mine. Sitting face to face with Larissa is not a bad idea at all. I can enjoy her beauty even more from this position. "I showed them the surprise. They love it. Especially that Vivian or should I say Princess Vivian," Catherine whispered. I chuckled. Before they came, I called my good friend Barbara Hart to prepare some Disneyland theme park in the backyard. Because Vivian loves to see Disneyland, I just brought the Disney people to my backyard. It's the least I can do after what she witnessed.
"Thank you for the surprise!" Vivian beamed at me. I nodded. I looked at my parent's expression, they smiled. It's the first time I do something sweet for a little girl. Well partly because I want to get on Larissa's good side. I know I shouldn't do it this way, but I'm running out of option. "Carmen, tell us what happen in school lately?" My dad's voice brought me back to reality. I looked at him and his smirked is wider than joker himself. "I may or may not had threaten a Bradley," I said nonchalantly. My parents stopped whatever they were doing and stared at me. "Which Bradley did you threatened? The 'good' Bradley or the 'oh so great' Bradley?" my mom asked me, still staring with her piercing blue orbs.
"The 'oh so great' Bradley," I confirmed for her. She raised her eyebrows and looked at my dad who just smiled. Mom hit his shoulder. "What? I don't like that family. They all so.... 'Great'," he laughed at his own ... umm... joke maybe. Mom shook her head and sighed. "This is what I have to deal with every day," she told Mrs. Vincent. Mrs. Vincent smiled. "Where's the food?" Christina asked out of the blue. She's probably too hungry and grumpy. "Relax dear," mom sternly said. Suddenly the kitchen door opened and the maids were bringing out all the food. The maids placed down the most exquisite food from the finest chef that the twins personally picked out, deserts prepared by the world famous patisserie and of course the finest wine and beverages money can buy. This is truly a meal fit for a king. The Vincent's eyes beamed when they witness how my family eats every day. "You guys eat like this every day?" Amanda asked me. I nodded. "This is normal lunch for us for the weekends," I said to her.
"This is insane. We are lucky to even eat lunch!" she said and Larissa stopped her. "Don't be shy, dig in," dad said and he literally eats like vultures. One thing about him and Christina have in common was they both messy eater. I looked around for my favorite. I can't find them. "Mom ..." mom looked at me and she remembered something. "I'll be back," she said and walked towards the kitchen. "The maids probably forgot to bring it out," Catherine whispered at me. I nodded. I looked up to see Larissa's eyes on me. I smiled and she instantly blushed. I heard the kitchen door squeaked and I saw mom with my food. She placed the plate in front of me. "Sorry Carmen, they forgot," she said and kissed my forehead. I smiled and look at my food, grill chicken meat with mashed potato and salad on the side.
Mom patted my back and walked to her chair. "How's dancing?" Dad asked the twins. "Good I guess," Catherine said. Dad smiled. "How's the subject Carmen?" Dad asked me. I swallowed my food. "Good. It's just high school dad," he smiled, proud. Probably because he haven't received any call from the principal. I chuckled. My parents start conversation with Larissa's mom mostly about what's happening in town. The twins even talking to Amanda and Vivian about kid stuff I have no idea about. I looked at bored Larissa in front of me. I leaned in and motioned her to do the same. "Let's ditch these people and walked to the garden," she nodded and I cleared my throat. "Umm, we have school stuff to discuss. Larissa?" I stood up.
"Follow me," I said and walked towards the front door with Larissa closely behind me. I opened the door. "Ladies first," I said and bowed a little. "You know that I should be the one doing that right?" I chuckled and walked beside her. "Nah, that's too cheeky for me," I said and took her hand with mine. "I'll show you the place where I have my peace and quiet," I said and walked towards the main garden. Her hand still in mine, I feel happy that I get to touched and feel her soft hand. Larissa Vincent what have you done to me.

LARISSA'S POV
I'm touching her hand! I feel speechless at first but then it passes and I actually want her to do more to me. Damn this dirty thinking! She led me to series of pathway and amazing scenery. All the flowers, the shrubs, it's all perfectly tend probably by her hired gardeners. We walked passed a mini fountain where the most amazing and beautiful statue I ever seen was the main decoration of the fountain. She looked a lot like one of the twins. I looked closely and I noticed a nameplate on the bottom. 'Cassandra Larove' Wow, this magnificent beauty was her older sister. I was gawking at it when Carmen splashed me with the water from the fountain, making my sweatpants wet in the process. "Why did you do that? You know I have no extra pants right," she smirked. "You can use mine," she said and sits at the bench nearby.
She patted the space next to her and I sit next to her. "This is my private sanctuary. The place where I can ease my mind," she started. She took a deep breath and I followed her. Immediately I smell the scent of roses invading my nostril and I feel really at peace. "Wow .... This is peaceful. It's good to not worry about something for a change," I blurted out. This is so not me talking. Damn those roses! "What do you worrying about?" I sighed. I know she will ask me this question sooner or later. "It's fine if you don't want to talk about it," she said. I feel guilty. I smiled. "It's ok. I'm worried about what my sisters will eat for dinner or breakfast. I'm worried about my mother's condition. I'm worried about everything." I said like it's a normal thing.
"Did you ever think about yourself for a change?" well, now that someone asked me that, I really don't know what to say. I never think about myself. All I care about is if there's food that can feed my sisters and mom while dad and I work. "Not really," I chuckled. "Why?" "Because I have no time to think about my future and my sisters and my mom is my priority now," she nodded as if she understands my struggle. "I'm sorry for asking," she apologized? "Hey, it's ok. It's good someone even asked me. My own friends don't care about my problems." That's actually true. Carrie and Gina probably never have life problems to deal with. "Maybe those people are not really a friend," that actually got me thinking.
Before I get to say anything she cut me off. "Look, what I'm trying to say is, a friend should be there with you when you need someone. A friend should be treated like family and not just shopping and gossip buddy," is she ranting about friends? "I know how that feels like. My friends threw me away when they learned about my anger issues. I mean come on, my anger will only show up when I'm annoyed or I feel like I want to protect my loves ones," does that mean I am one of her love one?? "I really want to know your middle name," I laughed at her. I never thought she's this talkative. "My middle name is Clarice," "Larissa Clarice Vincent?" I nodded. "That's one beautiful name for a beautiful lady," she smiled. I'm guessing I'm blushing hard right now.
"To be fair, my middle name is Erica-Lyn," "That's a very nice name," I said and smiled. I turned to see that she's looking at me with her amazing ocean blue orbs. Our eyes met as if they talking to each other. What happen next shocked both of us! I kissed her! I kissed her on the lips. Her eyes were wide open as if trying to register what is happening. But she responds to my kiss with equal passion. I moved my hands to her shoulder as if to make her come closer to me. She took my waist and pulled me into her. I licked her bottom lips as if asking for permission and she opens her mouth, letting me explore her mouth with my tongue. I taste the food we just had but most importantly, I can feel she's trying to tell me the same feeling I'm telling her with this kiss.
I love her. I love this girl. I am sure. She pulled away, breathing heavily, looking at my orbs. Her hands moved to my cheeks, caressing them gently. "I have been trying to do that from the day we met," she said breathlessly. I feel my heart leaped from joy. She feels the same way! I rested my hands on her thigh and her breath hitched a little. I quickly removed my hands. "I'm sorry," I looked at her worriedly. "It's fine. I had a little bike accident. No big deal," she laughed. We were just appreciating one another when we heard someone cleared his or her throat. We turned and it's Catherine with amusing looks all over her face. "Mrs. Vincent wants to go home," she simply said and walked away.
"HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HERE?" Carmen yelled. "LONG ENOUGH YOU TWO," she yelled back. Carmen sighed. "I am surely will never be at peace from now on," she said and stood up. I laughed and stood up as well. "Well, let's go. I'll send you and your family home," I smiled and nodded. She took my hand and we walked together. Are we official or just close friends? This is confusing. She didn't say anything. I shake my thoughts and let the feeling went by. I looked at her and smiled. She smiled back. "I'm falling hard for you Larissa Clarice Vincent," I smiled stupidly and just squeeze her hand gently. "Me too Carmen," she smiled. This is the best day ever! ...
