Hermione watched Tom in fear as he released her from the spell, she immediately went for her wand but then remembered he had disarmed her.

"Now that we are utterly alone, no one could hear your screams." He began coldly. "So if I were you, I'd confess."
"I told you, I don't know what you are going on about you twit!!" Hermione screamed. Tom's jaw clenched, his expression morphed into one of anger.
"Crucio." He said calmly as the spell hit her square on the chest.
Hermione screamed in agony, it felt like a million knives had pierced her skin. Tom stood over her with a passive face, non blinking. He cast the spell on her for a minute before he released her.
She choked back a sob and moaned in pain. "Who are you?" He asked sternly.
Hermione didn't reply and instead gave him a defiant glare. He sighed visibly and suddenly he used Legilimens on her. Tom's mind intruded into hers, and at her weaken state she couldn't do anything to stop him.
Memories flashed by in her mind. She was very young and jumping up and down as her mother and father put a birthday cake in front of her, she was clapping excitedly.
She was then screaming with joy at the new book she had received for Christmas.
